I just realized that items on the US website and items on the Canada website are sold for the same dollar amount regardless of conversion rates. For instance the TNA Super Puff in the CliMATTE fabric retails for $250 USD on the US website and $250 CAD on the Canadian website. With current conversion rates, $250 CAD is equivalent to $202.41 USD making it ~20% cheaper in Canada.
Is there a way to take advantage of this? I’m visiting Vancouver in a couple weeks and I’m wondering if anyone has ever placed a phone order from the US for pickup in a Canadian store. I would just shop in-store but with the uncertainty of the items I want actually being in store on the day I visit, I’m wondering if I could place an order for pickup at a Vancouver store directly over the phone. I live in Seattle and visit Vancouver occasionally so I’m wondering if all my Aritzia purchases should just be made in Canada.
I must be missing something. Anybody know why this could be?

Aritzia has raised it's prices on popular items right before the sale that is set to start on Monday, June 9th. For example, the effortless pant has increased from $148 to $158 and sweatpants have increased from $75 to $78. If you are in Canada, I encourage you to report this to the Competition Bureau of Canada. I tried to make contact but they're offices are closed today. I'm pretty sure, that legally, Aritzia cannot do this before a sale as their intent is to make the discounts appear "larger"...it's deceptive marketing.
If you have some time, please take a look at the form below of the government of canada's website.

EDIT: you guys, comprehension is critical. At no point in this post do I say I want aritzia to expand in Canada. I’m simply lamenting that we’re not getting the same gifts with purchases, extra sales, and other perks that come with the instore shopping experience in the states because their priority isn’t that. It’s US expansion, fueled by Canadian buyers. And Canadians are allowed to be mad about their money not staying in Canada.
ORIGINAL POST:
If you’re like me you would have noticed that recently the US site is getting surprise sales, US stores are having fun events, US customers are getting exclusive gifts, and US sales like clientele start earlier and run longer than the same sales in Canada. If you’re feeling like the less-favourite child, it’s not in your head.
Aritzia just released their fourth quarter fiscal 2025 financial report, and in it they beam about their expansion efforts in the states. Out of 130 current stores, 67 are in Canada and in 63 are in the states, almost an even 50-50 split.
However, they explicitly state “a focus on the United States” as a key strategic priority, with plans to open 10 additional stores in the states (out of 12 total new stores opening) in 2026.
In a section titled Growth Strategy, the first key area is “geographic expansion.” I.e more stores in other places. They outline plans to open 8-12 new stores MINIMUM EACH YEAR in the states thru 2027. No such plans exist for Canadians.
The next key area is digital growth. Which makes sense as increasing numbers of consumers continue to shop online.
At no point in the report do they focus on rewarding Canadian customers, customer retention in Canada, capitalizing on Canadian pride or the Shop Canadian campaigns, or even exclusive gifts just for Canadian customers. “We have identified the opportunity for 150 locations in the US that meet our exacting criteria” but zero, ZERO opportunities identified to reconnect with their Canadian audience.
Aritzia HQ, if you’re reading this, shame on you and shame on your leadership for abandoning your roots. You’re neglecting the audience that got you to where you are today, and your current strategy of viral marketing and influencer engagement that takes inspo from fast fashion is neither sustainable nor smart. You have insane brand loyalty and awareness here in the great north. This was your home. But there’s tons of cute places for us to shop now. I hope y’all pivot and give us reasons to stay loyal before you turn into the next Bombardier, BlackBerry, Roots, Sorel, Frank and Oak… Canadian brands that are sinking/already sank.
Heyyy all!
I’m thinking about getting the black slouch coat, but it’s currently only 10% off. Do they typically get discounted more, should I grab it now or wait during the year?
It’s on sale for the same percentage as it was on Black Friday.
Kinda sucks cause I just purchased the Only Coat in Cigar at 50% and it’s not warm enough for Toronto winter :(
i live in canada but recently went to vegas recently and went shopping at aritzia and noticed that it is actually more money in the US ex. the homestretch tee is $25 in both US and CAD. why is there no price adjustment for the US girlies??
I’m planning on going on the first day. Would arriving an hour before open be enough? Or would the lineup already be too long. If anyone has been there before please give me some advice! Thanks!!
I'm not pleased about the number of sales Aritzia is having in the US, which we aren't getting here, BUT...
If indeed all Aritzia clothes in the US are priced the same numerically as they are in Canada, regardless of the exchange rate, US shoppers are getting fleeced at all times relative to us Canadians UNLESS there is a US sale.
And even then, we all know how meager the discount Aritzia sales almost always offer on pieces they know we actually want, and the obscene tradeoff of saving as little as five dollars means sacrificing the ability to return those pieces at all, unless online, and even then, it's store credit only with a pathetic two week return window from the date of shipping.
Relative to American shoppers, Aritzia IS always on sale for Canadians, at 25% off. They are not making us suffer what American companies often do (but understandingly so) by jacking the price up for Canadians.
Aritzia HAS discreetly remained loyal to us in this regard, while laughing all the way to the bank in the US and not at the cost of the people who made that expansion possible to begin with. They can only expand so much here, but have not beytrayed us, which is why I do not blame them for not speaking out. If they eventually lose me as a customer, it'll be over quality.
I'm not going to go over both websites with a comb to determine if it's every piece, so please do correct me if I'm wrong.
My post will prob be taken down as there will likely be a place created to discuss about the public sale but just an FYI to everyone. I was wrong about regular price items only being 10% off, it’s 20-50% off (select styles) for everyone
Edit: referring to Canadian site
It’s here!! The Aritzia warehouse sale will open to the public on Tuesday, August 2024 at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Friends and family sale usually occurs the day before. More details can be found here: https://www.aritzia.com/en/aritzia/miscellaneous/warehouse-sale.html
As an annual tradition, I go every year and I often find great deals, although your mileage may vary depending on what you are looking for. I created a guide a couple years ago in case you are thinking of going for the first time: https://www.reddit.com/r/Aritzia/s/ZfOdDC9MFf
If you are planning to go, what are you hoping to snag this year?
Hi everyone!
Hard to believe we're upon another year of clientele sale, time truly does fly.
Our little community continues to grow during each sale, and every sale we see a huge influx of new members. If you're new here, hi!
With Clientele approaching, we wanted to take a minute to remind everyone of the rules again (please read in the sidebar!), but specifically in relation to the sale, please remember that hauls in the format of a screenshot of your cart/order are prohibited.
We implemented this rule a few years ago for a few reasons:
Causing a doubled up effect -- once you receive your items and upload fit pics, there is in essence the same post twice in the sub/mod queue.
To encourage inclusivity is a place for everyone, whether you have 1 or 100 items; whether you are 1st Tier or General Public in the sale. We don't want to promote unhealthy shopping habits, or make anyone feel these type of posts are the only way to be a part of our community.
Uploading screenshots of your haul in this way will result in a temporary mute from the group. We know this feels harsh but as the group grows each year it becomes more and more difficult to stay on top of these rule breaks, and we have no other way to enforce rules!
Additionally, once we have confirmed dates and sale amounts per brand we will pin them in this thread.
Moving forward please keep any and all clientele sale posts here!
Everything else will be removed from the main feed.
Thank you + can't wait to see your fire fit pics from the sale!
Saw this on Tik tok, can anyone confirm dates? And what’s everyone buying?
The discounts are similar to clientele!

Got this email the day after I ordered from Clientele
Hey everyone, my sister works for aritzia and I’ve got 2 extra bracelets for admission for today (which is only open to family and friends). Planning to meet around 4:30pm today at waterfront station and then we’ll walk to the convention centre. The meeting time is flexible, they close at 9. It’s first come first serve, DM me if anyone is interested!
Some notes:
-
Last time I was here (5 ish years ago) they didn’t have any male clothes, so I’m assuming it’s only female clothes again, correct me if I’m wrong.
-
Everything is at least 50% off, and can go up to 90% off. When I was there 5+ years ago, there were tops for like $15 and pants for $25. It’s SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than buying it at regular or even sale price. I wouldn’t be lining up for it if I didn’t think it was worth it. Which brings me to my next point.
-
Expect a lineup going in. My sister said it’s a lot worse in the early morning and tends to get better through out the day.
-
Dress light! The change rooms are communal and it gets messy in there. I’m going to wear some biker shorts and a tank top so I can just try on the clothes over top of them in the aisles.
-
No pressure to stay together once we get inside. It really does get hectic in there. If anyone wants to socialize after, I’m open to grabbing some food or a coffee and chat for a bit, otherwise just feel free to head on home.
FYI, this is a last minute post because 2 other girls who were supposed to go cancelled at the last minute.
