I've got a problem with Armory Crate - My product is the Prime B650-Plus motherboard

I am unable to open Fan Xpert in Armory Crate, everytime I try and open it, a pop-up appears saying prerequisite update, so I click update now, nothing is there, so I click check for updates, nothing is there.

The when I go back to Fan Xpert down the side, I get the same pop-up again.

I can select the preset "Silent", "Standard" and "Turbo" from the homepage, but whenever I press custom, or try and access Fan Xpert, I get the "Prerequisite update" pop up.

I have uninstalled Armory crate through the official installed 3 times, and then after reinstalling and updating, the same thing keeps happening.

Has anyone else had this issue?/Knows how to fix it?

I have raised a ticket with Asus, but not had any luck so far.

Where the heck did it go? Can't even change my rgb. Anyone else have this issue and have a solution?

Already reinstalled Armoury Crate but still nothing,

This is for a Rog Strix z790-E mobo. The fan control is literally the only reason I have Armoury Crater (AC) installed but on the last update to 6.1.13.0, the fan control seems to have vanished. I do see FanXpert in settings update center as last updated 2025/02/17 but I see no way to access the setup screen (needed to retrain fans).

The fans seem to now be controlled by the BIOS setup which is better than nothing but it can't be adjusted without rebooting and besides, the BIOS can't control fans according graphics temp. I believe all the required software is installed. What do I need to do to get it back? Can I reinstall a prior version of AC?

Hi, a while back I had uninstalled the whole Armoury Crate suite as I found it to be clunky and unreliable. However, managing the built-in LEDs on the motherboard proved bothersome without AURA, so I reinstalled it a few weeks ago. It worked without issue until a few days when Fan Xpert 4 was updated (I think it was yesterday, 10th of November, according to the update center).

As usual, I lost my configuration file, which is in itself infuriating, so I ran the calibration tool to detect the fans range before setting up the curves as they were before. Halfway through the process, at about 50-57% progress, my computer crashed: not a BSOD, a complete electrical shutdown. I was not monitoring it closely during the process, so I ran it again with HWInfo on this time, and what actually happens is that the CPU goes into thermal throttling, and eventually shuts off to protect itself. I have a 12700K, currently not OC'd, and an Arctic Liquid Freezer II 360 AIO, and I have never seen it do that in any other scenario in the four years I have used this desktop.

It seems that Fan Xpert 4 shuts down the AIO pump while calibrating the fans, which rapidly builds up heat in the AIO cold plate, resulting in 100°C temps over all CPU cores, hence the safety shutdown a minute or so later. It's odd, because I was under the impression that this pump was self-controlled and couldn't be set on the software side (at least I can't seem to do anything with it on the AIO Pump screen), but maybe the last update changed the way the pump and the software interact with each other during the calibration phase.

I started trying to tune my fans a bit, and realized I cannot even begin to with the fan control software in AC. I use AC to manage some RGB, so may as well use it for fans, right? Newp, grayed out. So I started on an adventure to uninstall and reinstall everything. I finally just installed AC with every bit of bloat it offered me, and now instead of a grayed out fanxpert I get no fan expert at all, lol.

I've been using fan xpert in ai suite for a while. After reinstalling windows I don't have fan xpert option in ai suite, nor in armoury crate.

Both are on their latest versions, all drivers are up to date. 

Meanwhile fan xpert is available in armoury crate from the box after reinstalling windows on maximus z690.
