My kid wants to learn to draw better. I do, too.
I scoured reddit history for suggestions. Proko, Sycra, many more.
The problem is I need something I can keep her engaged in. That means a draw-along technique video.
The pattern of:
why my videos are best
what pencils i like
what paper i like
go buy my videos
look how good i can draw
look at the drawings people that paid me to teach them made
etc etc are not doing anything for either of us.
Some go really deep into theory, but what we’re really looking for is:
Here’s how you draw various lines
Here’s how to draw shapes
Here’s how to shade simple shapes
Heres how to draw more complicated shapes
You know, real basic A > B > C stuff. Drawing tutorials that teach drawing, not drawing tutorials that sell art supplies or more drawing tutorials.

My fave video is their icecream tutorial probably! I like that they made it so easy to understand :) so if you like drawing but don't know how to draw a lot of things, this will cheer you up! They also have Disney drawing tutorials so you can draw Ariel and Belle and stuff!
The title says it all.

Looking for fun things to do w/ our 2nd grader that they may also find interesting.
My kid who is absolutely crazy for creature cases was SO excited when we found this how to draw Kit Casey video on YouTube! It looks like they have a whole series of how to draw videos. Are there other shows with how to draw videos? Because now he is obsessed and will probably finish all of the creature cases ones today 😂
