I ordered a parcel from the US to the UK and it was shipped by Asendia, tracked. The parcel was sent on the 13th of September and last updated the 17th saying it was dispatched by US carrier. It says no estimated delivery date and doesn't say if its left the US or where it could be at the moment.
I know due to the pandemic it may cause some delays but does anyone know how long it normally takes to get a delivery from the US to the UK through this company? The parcel is a Tshirt so not heavy goods.
Anyone have any experience with them and how long is a normal wait with them?
Who delivers Asendia packages?
Asendia works with a network of postal and delivery partners to move parcels across borders. Depending on the route, your shipment may start with Asendia and later be delivered by a local operator in the destination country.
Examples of possible last-mile partners include USPS, Royal Mail, Canada Post, and La Poste. The exact partner depends on the service and destination.
How do I track my Asendia package?
You can track an Asendia parcel in a few different ways depending on the information you have and the stage of delivery.
Track with Ship24
Ship24 lets you track Asendia shipments across multiple courier networks in one place.
- Go to the Ship24 homepage.
- Enter your Asendia tracking number.
- Click the search button to view the latest shipment updates.
Track on the Asendia website
You can also check your parcel directly on Asendia’s official tracking page. This can be useful when you want to review carrier-side details from the source.
- Visit the Asendia tracking website.
- Enter your tracking numbers.
- Click "Track here."
Track with the local delivery partner
After international linehaul and customs clearance, the final delivery may be completed by a local postal or delivery company. At that stage, you may also see matching events on the destination carrier’s website, such as USPS tracking or Royal Mail tracking.
How long does Asendia tracking take to update?
Tracking does not update every second. In most cases, a new event appears after the parcel reaches the next processing point, clears customs, or is scanned by the final-mile carrier. Updates are often slower during weekends, public holidays, and long international transport legs.
If your parcel is crossing borders, it is normal to see a longer gap between scans than you would with a domestic shipment. Tracking activity usually becomes more frequent again once the parcel reaches the destination country and enters the local delivery network.
Is this normal with asendia? US to UK
how long does it take to ship from US (east coast) to europe (Belgium) and why has my order "Departed Asendia Facility" for more than two weeks?
I have had this problem while shipping art internationally during covid. Especially since there's the new thing where Etsy has international shipping sort facilities. I had two pieces sit in a sort facility for three weeks, when they were headed to Germany from the US.
It is most likely way out of the control of your seller. It is a sign of the times we are living through. Your seller is likely already stressed out that the postal service is such a dice roll right now, too.

Asendia US to UK shipping times
This is the first time a package of mine has been shipped using Asendia to the UK, and I'm just wondering if a 6 day pause between scans is normal. I emailed and spoke with them over the phone yesterday and she ensured me all was ok and this was normal. Any thoughts?
Screenshots attached. It's a 1lb .03oz in a small 6x6x4 rectangle box.
-I shipped it out the 26th of July.
-USPS handed it to Asendia the 29th of July.
-Asendia scans it as departing the US July 30th -Today is August 6, 6 days since the last scan.
i ordered something on august 14th, and it seemed to be moving quite nicely according to the tracking information but since the 20th of august it has said "Departed Asendia Facility", it is now september the 6th and there seems to be no progress...how long should i be waiting before acting -it has been over three weeks since i ordered- and what would i even do?
update it arrived in time for the persons birthday and she loved it!!! thx y’all for all the helpful replies, i was very stressed about it and y’all calmed me down a lot 😊

The seller used Etsy's Global Shipping, which goes through Asendia, as you can see from the tracking. Now... the thing about Asendia is they're a budget shipping company. What they do is collect a load of packages until they have enough to fill a shipping container, which might take a few weeks or even a month or two. Once the crate is full, they ship it to the destination country, which I think they're doing by sea rather than air right now. So... it takes a while.
Between 20th August and 6th September is less than 3 weeks, which in Asendia time just... isn't very long at all. Asendia was slow even before we had a global pandemic. That said, when I order something online and see the seller has used Asendia, I know there's a 50% chance of the package just being... yeeted into the Atlantic? No idea. But at 3 weeks, it's still too early to say it's lost, and the seller won't be able to do much at this stage anyway. Even in pre-pandemic times, any time frame less than 6 weeks was too early to say an international package was lost.
So be patient a little longer, and then contact the seller after it's been 6 weeks since it was dispatched (not 6 weeks since you placed the order, 6 weeks since the shipping date.)
