I have a B550 Steel Legend paired with a 5600x that is posting a 00 error. From what I've found this generally indicates something is up with the CPU.
For some context, I built this at the beginning of December, used it for about 2 weeks with no issues and then got a 00 post code on 12/15 for the first time accompanied by some other issues (no display to the monitors). I was able to reseat the GPU and ram and cleared CMOS which allowed me to boot and do a clean install of Windows 10. This lasted me about 5 days. Put my PC to sleep last night and when I went to use it today it posted 00 error codes again.
Unlike the first time I got the 00 error codes, no leds turned on. The fans are running but otherwise I can't even turn the pc off without hitting the power on the PSU directly. I've tried clearing CMOS again but that didn't work.
Should I try reseating the CPU? Not sure how it could possibly be reseated improperly, it's pretty idiot proof. My cooler appears to have good contact with the CPU and even when I was having issues before, I never noticed any significant temperature issues. The fact that the LEDs aren't turning on concerns me because that wasn't an issue before and if I'm not mistaken LEDs don't have anything to do with the CPU.
I have a work laptop I use during the day and my chair is on a rug. Sometimes I get some static buildup that runs through my headphones to the laptop and causes my second monitor to flicker. Not sure if that could maybe cause some issues with the PC but also think that seems unlikely. I'm really grasping at straws here and not sure what to do.

I just got my B550 Steel Legend today. Put everything together only to turn on the power and get a 00 POST code. GPU fans are also spinning at 100% along with all of the other case fans except for the CPU fan.
I legit don't know why this is happening so any help would be appreciated.
UPDATE: I was able to fix the issue myself. I just forgot to plug in the CPU power. Oops. Everything works well now.
I'm not an expert but here is something u could try
Use another cpu power if your psu have more than 1
try to take the cpu out and reseat again.
try reseat and test ram with every single ram slot a time.
clearing cmos.

the psu must be turned off each time you reseat or clear cmos.

What BIOS is on there currently and which CPU you want to use?
Okay, so I finally got all of my parts in after waiting two excruciating weeks.
Put everything together, go to fire it up, MoBo RGBs come on, nothing happens. Tinkering around, I pulled my GPU and tried, and boom - fans on, RGBs on, everything seems to be going good but no display. Okay, shut everything down, reseated GPU, plugged HDMI into GPU, no dice.
Pulled GPU, cleared CMOS, reseated RAM just in case, fires up - no display. See the little LED thing and it reads 00 which I’m seeing is CPU related? I’m 100% it is seated properly, this was one of my most anxiety filled actions, I made sure 100% I was good every step of the way.
Build:
ASRock B550 Steel Legend (Ryzen 5000 Ready) Ryzen 5 5600 Radeon RX 6550 XT XPG Spextrix D50 2x8GB
Edit: just tried re-seating CPU, still no dice.
EDIT: Motherboard deemed faulty by two computer repair stores.
Hi guys!
I built my first PC yesterday with the listed parts below, but it won’t post or show any display despite all the RBG lighting up and fans spinning. There is a 00 Error code coming up. Not too sure what to do now - I’ve already reslotted all the ram and the gpu. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Part list:
-
Ryzen 5 3600 w/ stock wraith cooler
-
Gigabyte Gaming OC rtx 3070
-
Asrock b550 Steel Legend motherboard
-
Corsair Vengeance 16gb 3600
Hi guys, i need help with Error code 26, it's not in the manual and according to Dr. DEBUG... I have no idea what it means. One thing for sure it's CPU related cause i tried Overclocking to 4.8 on my 5900x. If anyone knows how to get pass this error please tell me ASAP!
Tried resetting BIOS? that would fix it.
Update:
It managed to get past its initialisation or something. For anyone that experiences the same issue next time, just power cycle manually, it might take more than 10 tries before the motherboard does its recovery default setting.
