what bios are you running? for some people, they have to use bios flashback and install 3.20 to get the computer to POST. If you already have 3.20 installed, it's either the cpu or memory most likely unless you have a bad PSU. More on reddit.com

May 20, 2026 - I have a beep code on my motherboard that I have been trying to fix, and am finally giving up and asking for help. I have an Asrock b450m motherboard giving me a 5 short beep code. From what I can tell this is pointing towards my (AMD Ryzen 5 2600) CPU. The PC will then skip the BIOS menu, and boot perfectly into Windows 11 afterwards.

On an ASRock motherboard, five beeps typically indicate that no GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is detected. since you got it working with the one old GPU..... put that one back in..... and DDU the drivers for the Radeon (I'm assuming that is the card that you have the drivers installed for).... tell it to shut down once DDU is run..... then put the Radeon card back in and see if it recognizes it. (you will have to reinstall the drivers for the card then if you get a picture out)

January 13, 2024 - Unfortunately they don't have any troubleshooting information in their manuals so I'd look at the lower right of your motherboard there are 4 red LEDs (proper operation they should light up and then go off) which also correspond to the POST code. ... Depends on whether they're short or long beeps as ASRock has used 5 long as video card (codes changed with UEFI).

I bought a B850m Riptide Wifi, didnt boot at all. Recently got a second board, hoping to return the first, along with a bios speaker. Both boards will let out 3 beeps, then repeat. Inserting memory into either has 3 different pitch, but same timing, beeps, but no repeats. All four of my ddr5 6k 32gb sticks cause this, on both boards. G.Skill flare.
Since both boards fail to boot, and give a cpu/dram error light on the board, yet the bios speaker beeps, it has to be the memory right? Mostly looking for advice on how to move forward.
