Is this motherboard ready for Ryzen 5000 series? Looking to pick up the Ryzen 5 5600 with this board.
Mine wasn't. You can use the built-in bios flash button to make it compatible, but the instructions weren't as clear as it could have been. Turn your PSU on so the board gets power, but don't turn on the computer. Put a drive in the usb flashback port with a properly configured bios (as found on the Asus website), and hold the button for a couple of seconds. I was having trouble trying to update bios while the system was on. You don't get any kind of indicator saying that's wrong, so make sure you haven't shorted the power pins or turned the computer on while trying to flash a new bios.

So I need to pick a motherboard for my PC, and was looking at the ASUS Prime B550M-A WIFI II, as it is cheaper than the MSI B550M PRO-VDH WIFI. But I couldn't find any reviews for it online (I could for the one without the II, but not for any with it) Does anyone here have experience with this board? Is it pretty much exactly the same as the one without the II?
Also, Will this board work with a 5600? It doesn't come up on the part picker that it might need to be updated, but it doesn't have bios flashback, so was wondering if that's why it didn't come up. I'm pretty sure it does, but I would just like to check if anyone knows for certain.

That asus boars has poor vrm section that will heat a lot if you don't have good air flow in the case. Msi board is a lot better in this regard.

The II is guaranteed to be compatible with any 5000 series CPU, it doesn't need a BIOS update. Its WiFi module is probably lower quality than the original's. The original specified that it came with an Intel WiFi 6 module, which is as good as it gets. The II doesn't specify what module it has. There's no other significant differences.
