I've been testing the new ASUS BIOS updates, and I'm impressed with the latest version 3601.
My experience:
Previous testing: I initially tested the beta version .3410 with XMP I enabled for my Trident Z5 2x16 6000Mhz CL30 RAM. The system ran flawlessly for several days.
Latest update: The newest update, .3601, has exceeded my expectations. I've noticed even lower voltage fluctuations, more consistent temperatures, and slightly better overall performance compared to the previous versions.
Benchmarks: Using Cinebench 2024, I ran 15-minute tests multiple times. With the .3601 update, CPU temperatures remained consistently below 65°C, a significant improvement from the 76-80°C peaks I experienced with .3401.
Memory stability: I've run Memtest86 for several hours (~12hrs in total) to verify RAM stability, and I haven't encountered any issues.
Overall, I highly recommend updating to BIOS version .3601. It's clear that ASUS has made significant improvements with this release.
My system specs:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX B660-G
CPU: Intel Core i7-14700 (Non-K)
