Normally to be able to update the BIOS of a motherboard, you need the system to be operating normally. You can then update the BIOS either from the BIOS itself or (less recommended or done these days) from Windows. Of course, this requires a processor compatible with the motherboard. BIOS Flashback offers a different way to update the BIOS, where you don’t require any component AT ALL, apart from the motherboard and the power supply ; and the BIOS files on a USB drive. This lets up update the BIOS in case it’s needed to add support for the CPU you just bought alongside the MB, which is sometimes required before it can work AT ALL with it. June 9, 2024 - Well I went and got the bios file loaded it onto the usb stick and tried to recover the bios but after many attempt's I decided to go on the net and googling why ASUS Bios Flashbaack wasn't working and thankfully a youtube video was up and it showed the guy using the Bios Flashback feature and also mentioned something I have never heard any youtuber mention until that time and it was that the usb stick must also be converted to MBR GPT will not work.
