In their newer motherboards, ASUS has tended to configure the ACPI firmware to disallow direct hardware monitoring chip access, preferring WMI-based access instead.

There are two kernel modules, asus-ec-sensors and asus_wmi_sensors for specific ASUS motherboard models, and the nct6775 monitor chip driver module also has support for ASUS WMI access method added to it. All of these modules use whitelisting by motherboard model name for the use of the WMI access method, and your motherboard seems to be on the list for the nct6775 module, so assuming your kernel is new enough, running sudo modprobe nct6775 should result in voltage/fan/temperature sensors becoming visible for the sensors command and other thermal monitoring tools.

The patch that added support for your motherboard seems to have been committed in early February 2023, so if your kernel is newer than that, you have a good chance of having it available.

The sensors-detect command may not have yet been updated to detect such vendor-specific access methods, so at the moment, you'll need to just know that vendor-specific methods exist and the names of the modules that support them, and try them.

Once the main sensor chip driver is loaded, then pwmconfig should be able to use it to control the fans, if the chip includes fan control functionality (and the nct6775 and compatible chips certainly do).

To automatically load nct6775 driver on boot the following command works on arch: echo "nct6775" | sudo tee /etc/modules-load.d/nct6775.conf

• switch on = sudo echo 0 > /sys/devices/platform/asus-nb-wmi/hwmon/hwmon4/pwm1_enable
• switch off = sudo echo 2 > /sys/devices/platform/asus-nb-wmi/hwmon/hwmon4/pwm1_enable

please note that you must check which folder contanins pwn1_enable (in my case hwmon4)

Same here, got a ROG STRIX B660-I GAMING WIFI last Friday and the FanXpert is missing in AI Suite 3. You can try Armoury Crate but I do NOT recommend it, this pice of Software is cancer, hell of bloatware, it use tremendous amount of system resources and makes it unstable.
