Great, good to know. My question is, can I take out the USB Drive that is plugged in right now that I tried these steps on? The solid green light is on, and I'm wondering if I can just pull it out without causing any damage to the motherboard. Pretty sure a solid light means the procedure didn't start. The light should be OFF when it's done. You can shutdown the system. It's fine. The BIOS flashback didn't work or should I say didn't start. Answer from Nemesia on forums.tomshardware.com

What exactly is Bios Flashback
Normally to be able to update the BIOS of a motherboard, you need the system to be operating normally. You can then update the BIOS either from the BIOS itself or (less recommended or done these days) from Windows. Of course, this requires a processor compatible with the motherboard. BIOS Flashback offers a different way to update the BIOS, where you don’t require any component AT ALL, apart from the motherboard and the power supply ; and the BIOS files on a USB drive. This lets up update the BIOS in case it’s needed to add support for the CPU you just bought alongside the MB, which is sometimes required before it can work AT ALL with it. More on reddit.com

Trying every combination to flash my ASUS motherboard's BIOS - Jeff Geerling
February 15, 2023 - tl;dr: Use an old-fashioned USB 2.0 flash drive, format it FAT32, download the firmware, make sure it's named correctly, and use the motherboard's 'BIOS Flashback' option after powering off the computer. This past week, I devoted far too much time to the task of updating my brand new motherboard's BIOS. It started with a combo deal from Micro Center: a ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi motherboard, a Ryzen 9 7900x CPU, and a G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB DDR5-6000 memory kit, all for $599.

November 7, 2021 - Hello, i could only find partial info about that. The manual says that I need to shutdown the pc, insert the flash drive and then press the flashback button for 3 seconds. A led near the button, should give an indication about what is going on. But the led stays dark and I get no reaction at all.
