So... I loosened the RAM timings a tiny bit and so far, so good. Let's see if it helps longer term. I'll know soon enough I think. Perhaps the new BIOS is a bit different with the power delivery, or something. I'm running 2 x 16GB of DDR4 @ 3800 C14 which is a bit of a push. The previous timings were perfect though so I don't really understand why they don't take now. Anyway, looks like I'm making some progress. More on reddit.com

Exact same question, mine just arrived from Amazon. No manufacturer date or anything on the box and Asus chat is only available Monday through friday :/. At the moment it's fingers crossed mine came with Agesa 1.0.8.0. More on reddit.com

October 6, 2020I purchased this motherboard on 10-14-20, and I am wondering if it ships with the bios for ryzen 5000 series or will I have to update the bios once I receive it?
Most likely it does not ship with bios for Ryzen 5000. The Ryzen 5000 CPUs just came out and there is no stock available that I am aware of yet. You will have to update the bios manually once Asus makes them available. I will have to do the same. I currently run a R5 3600. So once I can buy a R5 5600X I will download and update the Bios before installing the new CPU. Good Luck!

How many m.2 slots are on this board? Would I be able to put two m.2 nvme ssds on this board? In particular im looking at the Samsung 970 EVO Plus m.2 2280 Pcie Gen 3.0 x4
There are 2 m.2 slots - one on the front which has a heatsink, and another on the back that does not have a heatsink. I believe you'll be fine with 2 of those SSDs - I had no issue using 2 m.2 drives, and each slot looks to support multiple m.2 drive lengths.
