Hello guys! This is my first PC build ever with little to no experience. I just watched countless videos on how to build one and finally gathered enough knowledge and courage to start building one! Parts arrived today, got to work on my build, put all pieces together but I could not get the PC to display anything!
Everything seems to work fine, all fans are spinning, gpu is working, all ports are working, but it's just this Static Orange Light that prevents it from working ig. I have tried swapping places with ram, unplug everything and do it again (hence it on a box).
Help a noobie out! Anything is appreciated. :>>>

Hello, i have never built a pc before and this is my first time. I have been building this computer over the course of a month saving up my money to get this thing to what it is now, i finally got the gpu and seated it plugged in everything correctly and accordingly aaaanndd nothing. Nothing spins up just a orange light taunting me at the bottom left corner, i’ve reseated my ram and power cable like atleast twice now and nothing has worked! please someone help, the motherboard is a ASUS PRIME B550M-A WIFI II I’m sorry if i’m not very specific i’m just new at this and i’m panicking a bit
EDIT: I fixed it! Thank you to namder321 for the advice, i just had to reseat everything on my power supply!
I’m having trouble with my first PC build and need some help figuring out what’s wrong. When I try to power on the system, nothing happens except for the yellow light in the bottom left of the motherboard that turns on. No display, no fan movement, nothing. I've tried just about everything I could find, but It’s still not working. Here’s my setup and everything I’ve already tried:
Specs:
Motherboard: ASUS Prime B550M-A WiFi II
CPU: Ryzen 5 5500
GPU:XFX Speedster SWFT 210 RX 6600
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3200MHz
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 750W (Fully Modular)
Storage: Crucial P3 Plus 2TB NVMe SSD
The Issue:
-
The motherboard powers on, but the DRAM light stays lit (yellow/orange).
-
The fans (both case and CPU) aren’t spinning.
-
No signal to the monitor.
What I’ve Tried:
-
Reseated both RAM sticks multiple times and tested each one individually in slots A2 and B2.
-
Made sure ram was compatible
-
Cleared CMOS.
-
Checked all power supply connections on both ends
-
Switched to the other 8 pin cpu power connector (the cable splits into 2 ends)
-
Tried booting without GPU, Pcie expansion card, ssd
-
Reseated GPU multiple times
-
Checked for shorts on the motherboard
At this point I'm thinking that it has to be either a bios or RAM issue. Is there a possibility that bios flashback would fix the problem?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Here are some pictures of the build in case that helps
I have a prime b550m-k and I noticed a orange flashing light, the pc works fine and I just wanted to know i need to do anything
It's was my forth PC gaming build and never failed an assembly. But this one I've made some mistake. Can someone explain what I did wrong? I have already cleaned CMOS, battery cmos, cleaned every RAM slots. But no lucky whatsoever. Felling a looser today. My new CPU is a R5 5500 without video support.
Hello, I have a PC which yesterday worked perfectly, I moved it from home and today when I tried to turn it on it does not start and that flashing orange light appears on the motherboard, upon consulting they say that it is something that may be loose or unconnected but I have tried everything and nothing works, any idea what could happen? Thank you
I recently built my first PC and the main problem ive encountered after boot is the orange light, its extremely annoying and the weird part about it is that everything works fine. Its not a RAM issue since ive thoroughly tested that and BOTH the online and physical manual dosent inclue anything about indicator lights, google says its a problem with the PSU when its blinking, i turned the PSU off and on again, that solved the blinking lights. Now the light is static (its orange all the time), but the weird thing is once i boot it and start using it. It just starts blinking again outta nowhere. Im out of options. There is no issue with the pc, everything works fine, its just that the orange light is annoying and worrying
hello all. i just built this pc, and my asus motherboard has this orange light of death on it. i don’t know where to go from here. the bios won’t open, i’ve reseated my ram multiple times, i’ve removed the battery for a few minutes, and nothing has worked. i seriously don’t know where to go from here and i’m stressed.
