I am using the pc as an editing rig and soon we will be purchasing a NAS in order to edit off of it. We work with 4k 10bit footage and 10gbps speeds are necessary to do this. I am not sure if my current motherboard supports this feature and if not, is there some sort of adapter I may be able to purchase in order to make this happen?
Thanks in advance
Hey there,
Thank you again for everyone who made suggestions about troubleshooting the stuttering issues in my last post.
Now I have another weird thing pop up, I have consistent instances where my ethernet internet connection will disappear completely and then be back up like nothing happened. The funny thing is this only happens if I hit it with a load but it can happen such as trying to download a game, loading a webpage on startup or just keeping my Whats'app open.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
I have the same board, but no issues like that.
I'm using Intel driver downloaded from their web-site. Not the one supplied with the board, not the default Windows one.
Hi, i have a question, is the x570 Asus prime pro ethernet gigabit supported?, If I try to enable it crashes else caps around 100 Mbps, can you help me fix this?
Hi All,
I've just built a PC with Asus TUF Gaming X570-Plus motherboard a day ago, and am struggling with the download speeds with the 1Gbps port. I've got a 500Mbps Internet connection (500 down / 30 up), and can only get the PC to download up to ca. 17 MBps (ca. 136 Mbps), and upload to ca. 3 Mbps. Windows shows the port as 1Gbps, but the download speeds are definitely bottlenecked.
What I've done so far:
- changed router port, and ethernet cable (cat 5e)
- installed Asus official LAN drivers for this MB (even 2 versions - older and newer) - same results
- removed the device from device manager, and installed it again
- updated BIOS
- updated chipset firmware
Please bear in mind WiFi download speed tests (via speedtest.net) through the same router reach almost full 500Mbps.
I was almost 100% sure I've got a faulty MB, so to avoid a headache of ripping it all apart to send it back, and buy a different one, I've ordered a PCIe 1Gbps NIC.
Having done that, just to ensure it's a faulty hardware, I've downloaded Ubuntu ISO and ran it from USB drive... Once running from Live Ubuntu, I've performed the test on speedtest.net and, to my surprise, the speeds are close to what I should be expecting 500 down / 30 up.
Now.... what more can I do to try and fix it under Windows?
Downloading games, huge updates, etc. takes ages...
Any hints are more than welcome.
Hi, i just got a new pc yesterday, the motherboard is the x570-p and i cant use my lan cable with it, i tried it on different pcs and laptops so its not the cable, i went to my device manager to try and update it but the realtek network isnt even in my device manage, i used my phone as a very poor network adapter to connect to my wifi then tether to the pc and that works for updating stuff, any ideas what to do?
