January 27, 2020ASUS Prime X570-Pro won't post with more than one RAM stick
update 1: I'm actually able to post with two sticks when they are in DIMM A2 and A1 (which is not a recommended configuration). Both sticks are showing up in the bios as "G-skill 16384 2133 MHz". I just tried the other configurations again (A2B2, A2B1, A1B1 B2B1) and none of these post. I'm getting the satisfying click on the top and bottom of the RAM when inserting (and have tried a number of times) so I don't think this is just an issue of me plugging them in. Some things I tried to get here: disabled fast boot bumped the volts to RAM from DOCP's 1.35 to 1.38 (these are rgb sticks so maybe they need more?) ran the EZ tuning wizard to see if it would make any changes to my processor, which appears to be running at 3800 rather than 3900. Given that both sticks seem to be working, I'm thinking that this might be a cpu or motherboard issue (or a compat issue) rather than bad RAM. Seems that I can't boot with dual channel or that the b channel is dead. More on reddit.com

So i have a ASUS PRIME X570 P motherboard, which has 4 slots for ram and is “dual channel” (which i tried understanding but couldn’t). I currently have 2x8gb vengeance pro. I am wondering if i can add another 2x8gb vengeance pro of the same model. Or Do i have to sell these and buy a 2x16gb ram
On google i read it is possible if motherboard supports “quad channel “ mode, and like i mentioned i dont know what it means i tried .

no, you do not have to change anything. if you want faster ram then you would have to remove those and add the new speed.
Just buy whatever amount you want of the existing RAM specs.
Key is match what you have. No point in buying faster ram because the speed of the ram will be = to the slowest ram installed.

I just upgraded from a b350 prime plus (not knowing it didn't support 3200mhz RAM) and double checking to make sure this new board can support 3200mhz (which it says on the box it does). After messing with DOCP and updating BIOS and doing everything various internet boards have recommended I am at a loss. Any ideas?

Hi guys. Just went through a whole session of trying to get RAM to run at full speed (3600 MHz ) On my Asus Tuf X570. I'll cut to the chase... DOCP only works if the RAM sticks are in slots A2 and B2 if you are running 2 sticks of RAM. It will not work if you put the RAM in slots A1 and B1. With the RAM sticks in A2 and B2 and DOCP turned on and nothing else, no voltage tweaks, my RAM runs at full speed, 3600MHz. Prior to this it was running at 2133 MHz and would not POST in slots A1 and B1. FWIW, the instruction manual mentions this. I hope this helps someone.

Can you try to elaborate a little? Stuck at 2133 could mean that bios failed POST or you did not save changes. I assume that latter is not the case.. If it fails with d.o.c.p. you can try setting the RAM freq. manually, make sure to set a correct voltage. If it still does not boot, try incrementing speed from base frequency by about ~200Mhz steps, save -> reboot and then increment again.
