That cpu is compatible with X570 mobos but you’d have to update the bios to use it. Some motherboards are able to be updated without a cpu and others require it. The asus prime x570 pro does not seem to have a flashback feature so you’d have to get a compatible cpu to update it first. Some places like microcenter do update mobos for a fee More on reddit.com

Anywhoo theres a simple little program a guy wrote that helps massivly with all core clock speeds on this cpu.

I have seen mixed answers on this one. Some people say that it will work fine and others say I cannot install the bios update on the mobo. Can somebody help me out? I have already bought both of these parts.

That MB does not seem to have the bios flashback feature which allows you to flash the bios without needing a cpu. If the MB was recently made, it will most likely come included with a bios to support 5000s cpu. The MB box should have a label stated support. If it doesn’t come with a label and was manufactured a long time ago, you will need to have access to a compatible cpu to boot and flash the bios. If you can’t, a local pc shop should be able to do it.

Hello!
I been looking in to if I should upgrading my Ryzen 5 3600 to a 5800x3D. I have a X570 prime and what I could read is that the BIOS needs to be on certain version to support the 5000 series. The BIOS version that Im running is version 3001 is that high enough to support the 5800x3D?
I had a bad experience with falshing my BIOS in the past, and have been suffering from BIOS flashing PTSD ever since so would like to avoid that if I can.
