PRIME X570-PRO refuses to work with nearly every USB device
Driver (chipset) issues with ASUS X570-prime PRO
Prime x570-pro audio driver not installing

this is seriously one of the most frustrating things i've had to deal with. i switched from an older intel build to a somewhat newer amd build at the end of last year and i went with the ASUS PRIME X570-PRO for the motherboard, but this thing is HELL on earth
either there is something wrong with the motherboard or i'm missing something completely oblivious in which case i'm stupid as fuck, anyway:
nearly EVERY USB device refuses to work with this motherboard specifically. keyboard? no-go. steering wheels? nope. webcams? nu-uh. nothing works.
even today, i tried to use my older keyboard (which worked just fine in all the previous months) and it suddenly doesn't work anymore. surprisingly my current keyboard does work so hallelujah on that i can at least somewhat use this pc
but EVERY other device i've tried to connect on this motherboard works perfectly fine on every other setup. any laptop works fine, any desktop no problems. it's literally just this fucking setup.
i switched from PCIE 4.0 to 3.0 as i've heard this can cause issues with B550 or X570 chipsets. this has not helped
obviously i've updated all drivers. this has not helped
yes i've tried different ports. ALL of them has the same issue including USB-C
only thing that i've got going that gives me slightest bit of hope that the usb ports on this motherboard isn't fried is that devices do get recognized. keyboards light up when plugged in, windows makes the regular 'ol device plugged in sound, etc.
i just can't get them to work though. keyboards don't do anything, my steering wheel in specific doesn't respond to any input, webcam while it does get recognized has no output whatsoever in obs, teams etc.
what is it im doing wrong? are there separate USB drivers i need to install or something? it feels like it's a driver issue but i have no idea anymore and i'm just so over it lol
I've had this happen at least 5 times in the previous 5 months, windows or ASUS or AMD Radeon software are downloading and installing drivers (in the background) and suddenly, at a certain point in time, the Intel L211 gigabit Lan device gets deleted, and is no more detectable as "new hardware" under system hardware window.
It is really annoying, because it leaves me (and some of my employees) without internet access *insert facepalm emoji here*
Does anyone know how to fix this issue, because i am tired of re-installing windows every time it happens.
Kindly appreciate any help!
Thanks in advance!
I've already posted in the official forum with no help, hoping Asus/someone else can help here because official support page has got me nowhere.
Prime x570-pro board. I just want to use the integrated audio jack but there is no option to select this as an output. There also is no audio input available.
win11 pro clean install a couple months ago, currently on version 10.0.26100
Device Manager shows only hdmi HD audio options and the FX Sound application I downloaded hoping it might work. This is under both Audio i/o and Sound controllers. Audio does work using the HDMI.
Realtek does not appear anywhere in the 'services' list.
Tried installing audio drivers downloaded via Asus drivers page. No issue running the installers. I've tried all of the .exe's and setup multiple times. They run to completion but there is no change in devices.
Nothing showing as needing an update in Armory Crate.
HD Audio is currently enabled in BIOS but I have tried disabling that as well.
Tried running the AMD cleanup utility, that did nothing to help.
Tried manually forcing the driver add by running the installer and then pushing it in device manager. However the summary at the end shows that 0 of 1 drivers were installed for everything.
Hoping someone can tell me wtf I'm missing cause this is a maddening first experience with Asus.
Had to reset my pc with a fresh windows install. But I have no internet connection I looked in network adapters and my ethernet port is nowhere to be seen. The light is amber and flashing so I know it is working but unable to connect to the internet and feeling dead in the water. I was with Microsoft support for over 4 hours and still nothing. I am hoping someone has experienced this and knows how to help.
