Do you meant the Qfan Tuning? I would recommend doing the tuning as it allows the BIOS to determine the range of speeds that your fans are capable of. Once tuned, whatever preset you choose will be more accurate with fan speeds. Answer from jo148 on reddit.com

[SOLVED] - Asus mobo Qfan control | Tom's Hardware Forum
August 9, 2019 - To observe fan speeds, you can use the BIOS Setup screens, but they cannot be seen when you are actually working. However, on the CD that came with your mobo there are many utilities, and one of them will include a QFAN tool you can run as an application under Windows so it can be on your screen with other stuff while you work.

Asus Q-fan control and 3-pin fans | AnandTech Forums: Technology, Hardware, Software, and Deals
December 4, 2014 - For these boards there is "Fan Xpert" and high-end ASUS boards have "Thermal Radar." They work WITH the BIOS Q-Fan settings. It is at least one feature of AI Suite for which I find little fault. In fact, the worst problem people have with AI Suite is the "auto overclocking" feature. The "recording" feature is nice. Nothing really wrong with the manual controls for Digi+VRM or even the "EVO" tuning screen which features the auto-overclocking.

r/buildapc on Reddit: Asus Q-Fan Control Question!
January 7, 2019 -

Hi all,

I'm using 6 120mm xspc rgb fans connected through a 12v xspc 4-pin pwm hub. The hub then connects to chassis 2 fan header on an asus z390-e motherboard. The fans are rated for 800-2200 rpm. When I set the fan curve to the very minimum speed (20% i think), for some reason the fans start at 1240 rpm... I was confused at how it started at this speed but after some guessing I figured its 800rpm+(20% of 2200) which comes to 1240 rpm. Is there a way to set the minimum speed at 800?

Thank you so much and please let me know if I need to clarify on anything!

February 25, 2023 - Hi. I'm using TUF GAMING H770-PRO WIFI MB, and UEFI Q-Fan Control doesn't show an option to stop chassis fans in PWM mode but allows me to do this in DC mode. Is this restriction intended or a bug? Fan Xpert4 within the Armoury Crate allows to enable "Auto-Fan Stop", but only when "Extreme Quiet Mode" is enabled.

That would work if you enable the chasis q-fan control, but would not be monitoring cpu temps for speed, so would not be what you want.
