I have No CPU, No memory & No GPU installed.
I have power to ATX_PWR & ATX_12V_1&2
Am I correct in assuming that if I short the PWR_BTN then one of the QLED lights would illuminate and therefore the issue is a dead motherboard. (I have multiple PSU's and still get no lights)
My issue is with a brand new ASUS B760M-PLUS but are these assumptions correct with all new ASUS motherboards ?
I am upgrading my PC from Z390 to Z790 and bought brand new ASUS Z790-H , I9-13900K, and DDR5 RAM.
After I plugged in all the stuff, there is black screen but no QLED turned on on my mobo. I tried to unplug everything with only necessary things left, the mobo power cable, CPU power cable, CPU, one DDR5 ram and a front panel cable. The problem is still not resolved.
Please help me with this!
I've built a new PC using an ASUS Z890 AYW Gaming WiFi W motherboard and 265K CPU (Microcenter bundle). No other components (no storage installed yet and no graphics card since I'm planning to use the iGPU). A monitor is connected using the motherboard's DisplayPort.
After putting everything together and turning it on, the fans come on and the Q-LEDs show this sequence:
-
CPU (red) turns on for a second and then off
-
DRAM (yellow) turns on for a second and then off
That's it. The VGA LED (white) and boot combination (yellow/green) never turn on. The monitor doesn't detect a video signal. Anyone know what that could mean?
I have so far reseated the power connectors for motherboard and CPU, and cleared the CMOS RAM using a jumper. I inspected the CPU socket before I installation and it looked OK.
Update in case someone finds this post later: it was the memory. I used a DDR5 memory kit from Teamgroup, which ran fine in the previous AMD-based system. But it's apparently not compatible with Z890 boards. I swapped it for a Crucial kit from another computer and now it runs fine (and so does the other computer with the Teamgroup kit).
Hello everyone! My PC just now wont boot up, and is seemingly stuck on the boot led as my power button flashes on and off every 4-5 seconds. Everything seems to be on inside my pc, and peripherals turn on just like normal, but the display shows no signal. My GPU seems to be on, but as the video shows the fans are not spinning. I’ve tried reseating RAM, cmos and gpu, but with no luck. Dont know if this is helpful, but power button led stays fully on when ram is removed

Hey everyone. I have an Asus X670E logic board. when I try and power on I get no power. the RGB on my RAM lights up and the power switch on the board lights up so does the red led on my 4090. the PSU fan does not turn on at all. I tried power on with nothing plugged in and the same thing. I had a spare 450w PSU that should power at least the board and CPU fan but same thing.
I am assuming it is a dead board but I'm not sure.
