X570 and the ROG CROSSHAIR series just got EXTREME with the return of a CROSSHAIR EXTREME series motherboard. Designed for the most demanding enthusiasts, whether liquid cooling, overclocking, or with a focus on high-speed connectivity or storage, the CROSSHAIR VIII EXTREME has you covered.

The EXTREME features a distinctive angular design aesthetic; anchored by the impressive metal heatsinks used throughout the board. Offering a monochrome aesthetic that conveys a subtle but impressive tone when in stealth/dark mode, you can see the EXTREME is ready for any high-end PCDIY build and was designed for the most demanding enthusiasts.

Accenting the matte heatsinks are bright, chrome-like accents. When looking for personalization, you can enable three separate RGB lighting zones illuminating the look and feel of the EXTREME and tailoring it to complement the look and feel of your build.

Power Delivery Design - 18+2 power stages rated for 90A, ProCool II power connectors, microfine alloy chokes, and 10K Japanese-made black metallic capacitors. Alongside exclusive ROG, PCB topology ensures stable and reliable operation, whether stock or overclocked. Furthermore, ROG-exclusive power tuning through advanced UEFI auto rules ensures a superior experience when performance tuning.

Overclocking Design - The EXTREME continues the tradition of the CROSSHAIR series in being the benchmark by which all other AM4 boards are measured. Offering impressive and unique hardware, firmware overclocking features, overclockers of all levels will be able to level up and push Ryzen to its respective limits only limited by silicon variance, cooling, knowledge, and time. In addition, the inclusion of ROG-exclusive Optimem III memory topology, Dynamic OC switcher, differential die sense voltage monitoring and much more provide overclockers everything they need for more MHz. The EXTREME also offers the innovative Dynamic OC switcher feature/function, designed for those looking to further refine and customized their CPU overclocks.

Thermal design - Enlarged two stage VRM heatsink featuring a heat pipe and dual contact design, plus integrated aluminum I/O cover, high-conductivity thermal pad, triple onboard M.2 with backplate, additional dual M.2 on DIMM.2 and ROG Water-Cooling Zone.

Extensive Next Gen Connectivity - USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 front-panel with PD3.0 60W fast charging, Thunderbolt 4, Onboard WiFi 6E, Marvell AQtion 10Gb Ethernet, Intel® 2.5Gb Ethernet featuring ASUS LANGuard as well as Bluetooth 5. In total, the EXTREME feature ten high-speed USB ports on its rear IO, ready for even more with dual internal USB-C and USB 3.0 front panel headers. Altogether, this brings the total number of high-speed ports to 18*.

ROG Exclusive SupremeFX audio design - ROG SupremeFX ALC4082 codec with ESS ES9018Q2C DAC and the bundled ROG Clavis USB digital-to-analog converter (Quad DAC) for high-fidelity sound.

AURA RGB lighting and personalization - 2” LiveDash OLED, ASUS-exclusive Aura Sync RGB lighting, including one RGB header and three addressable Gen 2 RGB headers. In addition, an included aRGB hub offering connectivity for expansion.

ASUS DIY Design - pre-mounted I/O shield, V_Latch switch, BIOS FlashBack™, M.2 Q-Latch, Q-Code, FlexKey, Q-Connector, SafeSlot, and Graphics Card Holder.

Built for water cooling / liquid cooling - The EXTREME like all ROG boards features a dedicated water cooling zone set of headers including water pump, flow monitoring and temp inlet/outlet headers. Furthermore robust and flexible options for temperature input mapping and extensive fan headers via the included fan hub offer liquid cool builders an array of connections for their cooling setups.
