WiFi is the only difference between the first two. The II is a newer version of the board, it definitely doesn't need a BIOS update for a 5800X, but it might still for like a 5700X. The original came with an Intel AX200 WiFi card, the II comes with a lower quality WiFi card. More on reddit.com

I know for the most part the X570-E is all around better Says who? That is not true. The x570 is better at a very specific task, liquid nitrogen overclocking. The B550 is a much better choice for general use. Here is a side by side comparison: https://rog.asus.com/us/compareresult?productline=motherboards&webpathname=ROG-Strix-X570-E-Gaming,ROG-STRIX-B550-F-GAMING-%28WI-FI%29&id=118902,97248 As you can see, both boards have the same WIFI chip, same top tier high end audio codec that can power up to 600 ohm headphones, both boards have 2.5 GB networking. Both boards have excellent VRMs. The differences are the x570 E has LN2 overclocking support, with multiple extra temperature sensors. It also has multiple specialized fan headers that don't matter to normal users. And neither board has enough fan headers for 7 fans without either an aftermarket fan controller or splitter cables. The B550 board has a Thunderbolt 3 header, which allows you to add a thunderbolt 3 card if you need it. The B550 still has 7 back pack panel USB ports and a Type C port, and that doesn't include more on your case. TLDR: The B550 strix is a better choice. It's also a better choice then the A-Pro mentioned above. More on reddit.com

A pros and cons list doesn't really help. It's got a bunch of features and stuff and it's got a price and all you have to do is see if it's got all the features you need and if there is a board that does the same for cheaper. All in all its a decent board. Solid VRMs expected at this price point, 8 USB ports (2+4+1+1 I think), dual M.2 slots, really nice onboard DAC/audio system, 6 SATA. No front USB 3.2g1 support though I think. I mean for the price it's decent but I have no idea what your budget is, what components you'll be pairing this with and whether a cheaper board will do exactly what you want it to, which is likely the case.
