Asus RoG's aesthetic is arguably one of the most ugly in the industry. I don't mind their GPU shrouds and motherboards, but my god do their Laptops, Mice, and now their case are incessently edgy and hideous. I know the "hardcore gamer" aesthetic isnt for me, but RoG is continiously more egregious than other companies serving the same niche. Edit: spelling More on reddit.com

Scar is better overall, though it does feel more plasticy on the inside, however the 4090 for only 10% more money isn't bad at all. Ultimately 4090 is only like 15% faster in games, but you do get the extra VRAM, might be useful in the future. More on reddit.com

Been looking into this also. From what I can see the only major differences between the two are: Hero has an additional 2.5g LAN on top of the 5gbe LAN Hero has some tech that supports faster RAM (I now think they both have this, unclear) Hero has two PCIEX16 (Gen 5s) vs 1 of Gen4 and 1 Gen5 on the Strix Hero has SLIMSAS whatever that is. I think it is a way to connect M.2s... Looks, completely subjective. I think the look of the Hero is more simple minimalistic, shrug. So which to go with? I have found when talking around tech folks the desire for condescension increases exponentially. However, this will be a non judgement response. Lets be real, most people buying at this price point, the extra $200-$400 over a B650E is essentially negligible. If you can afford $500 for a mobo you can probably afford a $700 mobo. So get what makes sense for your looks preference and use case based on the list above. I think both motherboards are great options. More on reddit.com
