Is the max supported RAM speed on the motherboard actually 2666Mhz?
Is it fine that front panel USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type A port will be unusable because the motherboard dosent have enough 3.2 gen 1 headers (I'm going for a streamer setup) and only planning to use usb Type A or C ports at the back of the pc.

you're generally right, for most people the upgrade is not worth it. I would argue that most people looking at the x570-e for the aesthetic should be looking at the b550-f instead. Or they should look at spending the extra money for an Intel build with ddr5 as it gets cheaper. More on reddit.com

Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming Review: More Fast USB, Lower Price
Motherboard designers typically ... connections from the X570 PCH, it was obvious that most manufacturers would deploy twelve of those PCH lanes as a second and third M.2 interface plus a PCIe x4 slot. Those designers were then left to figure out whether to use those final four lanes for SATA, USB3 or additional PCIe. And that’s where lane sharing that disables one interface to enable another begins. Asus took a different track in its ROG Strix X570-E Gaming: ... ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming review: Impressive performance with AMD Ryzen 5000 CPUs | Windows Central
April 30, 2021 - The ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming motherboard is your standard ATX affair. Because we're looking at the X570 chipset from AMD, you'll be able to take full advantage of PCIe Gen 4, which improves the speeds for M.2 SSD storage, as well as providing additional bandwidth for GPUs, though the impact in performance here could be considered within the margin of error.

Better than budget but thankfully a good bit less than enthusiast With a carefully crafted selection of features and ports, the X570-E keeps all the best bits of the ROG enthusiast boards for gaming without the ultra-enthusiast price tag.

September 23, 2019 - This one shouldn’t be surprising, it’s mostly PCIe Gen4, native USB 3.2 Gen2 and support for the latest 3rd generation Ryzen CPUs. Do note that on the official board page, ASUS lists the Rear I/O Panel connectivity options in the oddest way. It lists 8x USB 2.0 and 5x USB 3.1, in addition to what has been tabulated here.

July 31, 2019 - The need to remove the entire lower cooling contraption to get at each M.2 heatsink is a particular nuisance. As a result, you also need to remove any PCIe devices that block its removal before you can get at your SSDs, and there appears to be no reason for this other than aesthetic appeal. We were also sad to see a lack of the majority of the usual overclocking and testing tools, with just an LED POST code display and USB BIOS Flashback being added to the specifications. ROG Strix boards have often disappointed here, but we still expect power, reset, and CMOS clear buttons on boards costing more than £300.

Well from what I managed to gather X570 have a better VRM functioning in power efficiency. Better cooling and voltage stabilization ( I'm planning to overclock APU for sure) and last bit is that General Purpose lanes in X570 is more future proof with PCIe Gen4 vs B550 Gen3 .

ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming Review - OC3D
October 12, 2023 - The short version is that umpteen PCI Express lanes and the power phases necessary to keep the Ryzen 9 series fed with juice isn’t free, and those engineering costs are passed on to the consumer, putting the X570 more in line with the pricing you’d expect from the Intel range. After all, the X570 straddles the line between the Z390 and X299 chipsets in its abilities. The ASUS Strix range of motherboards has always been fabulous value for money, not quite hitting the wallet emptying heights of the Maximus/Crosshair/Rampage prices, but without noticeably compromising any performance or features to hit a more mid-range price tag.
