ROG Strix boards are two things: good, and expensive. The nice thing about that combination of qualities is if you can afford them you don't really have to think about it too hard as they are almost always in the upper echelon of whatever category they're targeting. More on reddit.com

i have the same issue...... i replaced my cpu thru intel (13900k to a 14900k) and everything was great for about 2 months then the issue started happening again..... thankfull i had an extended return thru bestbuy and was able to return it and try again..... i turned off all the settings mentioned above and no xmp...... here i am 3 weeks later and the issue is starting to happen again.... at this point i am going to replace my cpu (this will make cpu number 4) and my motherboard to something that isnt asus..... fingers crossed io can find something that wont degrade the cpu within weeks More on reddit.com

I plan to upgrade it over the next 5 year 1# if you want upgradability you can forget bout Intel since their current gen socket has been discontinued so you have zero upgradability and it also has tons of instability issues with excessive overheating and insane power consumption 2# You can go for the 7950x it has 16-p cores and 32threads so it'll be pretty good for anything and it's based on am5 which'll last very long so you've great upgradability 3# If you still want to go with intel get cheaper motherboards since you don't have upgradability so there's no point in getting such expensive motherboard 4# the last option you have is to wait for the intel raptor lake CPUs to drop or wait for the ryzen 9000 series they'll be dropping this year most probably or just go for 7950x it's much better option 5# dont go for asus , it's not the same which it was a few years ago , they've very crap after sales service For 2.8-3k you should be getting a 4090 and nothing else Something like this would be better https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Fc94Wt Or this https://pcpartpicker.com/list/HfX4Wt The 4090 currently is going for 1700 which is high it comes down to 1599 very often so you can wait for that More on reddit.com
