I’m getting a high end build and this mobo is really the only thing I’m not sure of.
I just picked it up for my 3700x. My only concern are the VRMs. I would have went with the Tomahawk at $219 but I got a little impatient.
If your going for mid-high end processor, go with a mid range motherboard! Like the aourus elite or the pro, they have excellent vrms for overclocking if your going to be doing that. The x570 tomahawk is also bang for your buck and its priced down on newegg if theres still stock lol

Hello everyone,
I have recently purchased a new Ryzen 9 5900X to replace my existing Ryzen 5 1600 AF that I have been running for 4 years.
Before the Ryzen 9 5900X was installed, I upgraded the motherboard's BIOS to the 5013 release. From there, I swapped the existing 1600 AF to the 5900X.
I found that the system will cycle through the white, yellow, and red post LEDs multiple times (has happened for over 10 minutes at a time) and will usually post at some point and proceed into booting the OS. I have seen other posts with users having similar issues with this board and have followed the advice of trying a few different firmware versions.
I have tested the following BIOS releases:
4002, 4022, 4204, 5003, 5013I have tested these releases with fast boot disabled and have also tested with fast boot enabled
I have tested reseating the CMOS battery to clear BIOS settings
I have tested using the "Optimized Defaults" setting on the motherboard
My current build is:
-ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus (Wi-Fi) running BIOS 5013
-Ryzen 9 5900X
-Mushkin Enhanced Redline Stiletto 64GB (2 x 32GB) (MRF4U320GJJM32GX2)
*I have also tested using an alternate kit of known good Oloy 32g (16x2) 3600 (MD4U1636181CHKDA)*
-EVGA 750 GQ
-XFX Radeon 6700XT
Does anyone else have a ASUS TUF Gaming X570-Plus Wi-Fi motherboard paired with a 5900X and have no issues? If so, what BIOS version are you using?
Any help is appreciated.
Asus Bios version 2407 isn't "supposed" to work with Ryzen 5000. But it did! Just took about 20 seconds to post, an eternity on a first boot of a new build, especially where you already suspect it wont work!
The sticker by the ram slot shows 2407, as the last four digits, this matches the installed bios version.
This board came from amazon in September, 2407 BIOS is from july, so i thought for sure I'd be in asus rma hell, or waiting on a loaner cpu from AMD to get my build finished on this mobo.
Just finished updating to 2812 via bios tool easy flash, everything looks great. And now POSTs instantly. This should also be the case with the wifi version. But I'm using the non wifi version.
Dont return, RMA, or request AMD bootkit till you're sure you need to!
Would this board be able to handle the next flagship chip? i'm curious if anyone here is rocking this board with an r9 3950x i'd love to not have to upgrade.
Hello, I recently switched to a new 5900x on my TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI), I replaced my previous 3900x always left at default settings.
I'm switching to a new home so I haven't much time to play around with overclock and watching video about that, so I need your help for starting. This is my configuration:
-
Ryzen 9 5900x rev. VRM-B2
-
Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI)
-
32Gb (2x16) Crucial Ballistix MAX BLM2K16G40C18U4B 4000 MHz (Hynix Chips)
-
Corsair H115i AIO
-
2x Samsung 970 Evo NVME
-
nVidia RTX2080 Super
-
Corsair AX1200i
I need some tips to get the most with this configuration, about PPT, TDC and EDC for this CPU, overclocking memory (reach 3800MHz with 1900 FCLK???) with which voltage and get lower temps, cause with my current settings I have quite high temps and we're going to have an hot summer...

Hello
i was able to snag a R9 5950x on AWD-IT with the Asus TUF Gaming X570 Plus WIFI motherboard as a bundle (for a reasonable price imho). Paired with 32 gigs of 3600 CL16 RAM (or maybe even higher if the performance difference is noticable) and an Noctua NH D15.
Now im wondering, if the motherboard is capable enough for this cpu and (maybe?) some mild overclocking (not going for any records, just optimizing the voltage/clock a little bit).
I've watched a few videos from der8auer and igorslab stating, that this mainboard has a pretty decent VRM setup compared to other mainboards in the same price range and even in the higher range. I have also seen some people using this mainboard with a 3950x and it seems to work pretty well for them.
Otherwise my plan would be to sell the MB and buy something else.
Re: selling the MOBO. Check your warranty obligation with AWD before you sell it, in case the bundle is considered one item for repair or replacement issues.
The X570 Plus is pretty capable of overclocking. There are not that much boards that will suit Better, for example X570-E, Crosshair or Dark Hero.
