To clear the CMOS (Real Time Clock RAM), use the Clear RTC RAM jumper on the motherboard: Turn OFF the computer and unplug the power cord. Short-circuit pin 1-2 of the jumper with a metal object or jumper cap for approximately 5-10 seconds. Plug in the power cord and turn ON the computer. Hold down the key during the boot process to enter BIOS setup and re-enter data. If these steps do not help, remove the onboard button cell battery and then short-circuit the jumper again to clear the CMOS RTC RAM data. After clearing, reinstall the button cell battery.
