Does the ASUS X570i chipset fan is really that bad
I had the X570-I and a 5900x and the chipset fan was the most annoying piece I ever had. I switched to the B550-I with no downgrade at all. More on reddit.com

I got the b450i and it's well worth the money. BIOS is well supported and everything works well. Running 3700x with 5700XT and a 1tb m2.

October 9, 2019On ASUS's website, it doesn't show compatibility with the 3600XT. Did they forget to add it, because the 3800XT & 3900XT are listed as compatible?
It should work. The 3600XT is just a 3600X with a higher boost clock.

I purchased this motherboard on 10-14-20, and I am wondering if it ships with the bios for ryzen 5000 series or will I have to update the bios once I receive it?
Most likely it does not ship with bios for Ryzen 5000. The Ryzen 5000 CPUs just came out and there is no stock available that I am aware of yet. You will have to update the bios manually once Asus makes them available. I will have to do the same. I currently run a R5 3600. So once I can buy a R5 5600X I will download and update the Bios before installing the new CPU. Good Luck!

How many m.2 slots are on this board? Would I be able to put two m.2 nvme ssds on this board? In particular im looking at the Samsung 970 EVO Plus m.2 2280 Pcie Gen 3.0 x4
There are 2 m.2 slots - one on the front which has a heatsink, and another on the back that does not have a heatsink. I believe you'll be fine with 2 of those SSDs - I had no issue using 2 m.2 drives, and each slot looks to support multiple m.2 drive lengths.

Hello, i decided to go for an am4-mini-ITX build for my new pc and it seems only this mainboard provides a decent amount of usb slots + usb-c (at least more than 4 like most of the other ones).
I wanted to pair it with an amd ryzen 7 5800x3d and heard that there might be compatbility problems because of older bios versions and that this board doesnt have a bios flashback-button to update it if it is too old? Cant i update it another way?
Why does the cheaper b550-i from asus have one, but not the x570? Are there no more recent am4 mainboards that are definitly compatible with the 5800x3d?
I would appreciate any help, thank you.

The x570 boards were, mostly, released before the proliferation of the USBC header. Whereas the b550 were very very delayed until after. As always, the enthusiast gear gets released first Hence why the b550i has it but the x570i doesn't

If you have the choice, go with the B550-I, unless you need two M2 drives. The X570-I has a very annoying chipset fan that cannot be tamed.

I had the X570-I and a 5900x and the chipset fan was the most annoying piece I ever had. I switched to the B550-I with no downgrade at all.
