So i cant my new build to post. Motherboard rgb lights up, aio screen/fan turn on. Fans spin. Gpu spins up. Case lights work. Ram rgb turns on. But Soon as i turn it on I get cpu code 00 on the screen. The things ive tried.

1. Updating the bios firmware with usb flashback. Motherboard screen says update went successfully.

2. Removing the cmos battery for 10 seconds, 15 minutes and 1 hour.

3. Checking all power connections to make sure they are snug.

4. Reverted to 1 stick of ram, trying each slot individually.

5. Reapplied the cpu thermal paste 3 times and Used the zoom on my phone to see the cpu socket. No bent pins and no debree/fod. Also thermal paste was evenly distributed. Cpu looks clean.

6. Removed all hard drives

7. Removed the gpu. Plug hdmi directly into i/o port hdmi.

8. Turned on and let it sit for 30 minutes

Also, Ive got no qled color lights.

Specs: 13900k cpu Gigabyte 4090 xtreme Ryujin ii 360 aio 980 pro ssd Gskill 32x2 6000 ram Ai1000g pcie5 power supply

Im gonna try plugging the power supply from outside the case, not sure if my cables are too bent around sharp corners. But other than that i have no ideas.

Long story short, pc randomly blue screened the other day “cpu thread exception not handled” or something like that. Whatever, let it blue screen and reboot. Except it never rebooted. Every power on would result in the fans spinning for 2 seconds and “00” to be displayed Things i’ve tried: -Clear cmos -Power cycle -switching ram sticks and slots -Checking all cables and replugging in everything, including outside the case.

• Posting with / without gpu

• Posting with / without cpu cooler

• Warranty RMA the cpu , i9-13900KF. Intel trusted my evidence and sent out a replacement same i9 as it was under warranty. Brand new CPU. Same error code. I’m at a loss. The only things left is a defective psu / cable or the motherboard chipset fully died which i find unlikely unless the “00” code is incorrect. Hello everyone , i would like some help with my brand new z790 extreme , on day one i had issues with my mobo , i managed to install w10 instead of 11 because i was getting error message that my hardware is not elidgible for w11 , i ran into the bios settings and the option of tpm 2.0 was already enabled, after save and exit my mobo didnt post at all staying at 00 , tried both bios flashing newer version , removed everything , reconnected all the cables back on mobo but unfortunately with no success and i decided to return my mobo to the retailer.Lastly i am a little concerned purchasing the same model , maybe it is affected too, should i wait for z790 apex instead?
