I've been having issues with crashing recently. At first it was some BSOD due to GPU and other drivers. Lately my computer has been hard crashing with repeating sound and frozen video at normal temperatures. After crashing, it would repeatedly attempt to restart, but only rev up the fans for a couple seconds. Disconnecting the power and holding the power button down fixed the issue temporarily.
I figured it was a power supply issue, so I replaced the PSU. My computer now powers on without a problem, but another problem surfaced. I am getting the 55 error code, which I've read means missing RAM. I've tried moving the sticks to different positions and trying them individually. I have also checked for bent pins.
I cannot access the BIOS as nothing is displayed on my monitor (tried the integrated GPU as well). Is it possible the faulty power supply killed my mobo? I have some spare RAM at my parents' that I can try this weekend, but that's all I have as far as spare parts. I've had terrible luck with motherboards in the past, so I am a little biased towards thinking it is responsible. This build has been running fine for almost a year.

So my motherboard is giving off this error code and according the user guide it means IDE detect, but I have no idea what IDE Detect is.
