I don’t try ink the fundamentals are changing all that much in Python. Maybe just style guides like having type hints. If you are writing a book for new coders, or coders coming from another language. You have to start at the basics. Syntax, assignment, loops etc. Every tutorial book or what not is going to try to teach you abstractly, things and tools. The problem is…that’s not very helpful…until it very much is helpful. When learning to code you have get your feet wet, and to do that you need some instruction from somewhere. While Python is an evolving language, the fundamentals of, types, for..loops, function, variables, classes, imports are really not changing all that much. Even things like comprehension is really an add on(that’s somehow faster) to the base you need to know. Is it still relevant, as long as all programs it describes still function as as described. Then anything that gets you to start coding will be relevant to you. You don’t learn to be good at coding from a book or a website, or a video, or even a degree, you get good at it by making something complete. But you’re gonna need help along the way. I use documentation, books, geekfor greeks, real Python, Wikipedia, stack over flow, google, you teacher, my friend, a joint, my IDE, staring at bad code, staring at good code, YouTube videos, others projects, git,a thought in the shower, to learn to code, and it’s okay. It okay to google stuff, it’s okay to have a few reference books, it okay to want lessons, it okay to learn the way you want to. But if your code doesn’t have an objective it’s not going to get anywhere. I really could go on….but it really about this You have this information you know is there, you want this out put int this way, you believe a computer can do that, you believe you can learn to code that… Then you just force it. The opening chapters are very much geared toward beginners, and I don't think that you're going to get much out of it. The later chapters (Chapter 12 and onward) that involve various automation tasks are still worthwhile. As always, the book is free online - check it out and buy it if you like it. More on reddit.com
