r/smallbusiness on Reddit: How much money do you spend on marketing?
January 4, 2024 -

I have a small service based local business. We generate almost $1m revenue last year. Spent just over $100k in marketing spend and agency. It doesn’t feel like it’s working as our revenue hasn’t increased with this marketing spend (this is for PPC and social media). Am I reading it correctly, is revenue all I should be focusing on at the end of the day to work out if they’re effective with my money?

Is it worth continuing to spend money on agency, do you do the marketing yourself?
