Hello, I'm helping set up a computer lab for a public school, they are old, donated computers with windows 7 (some 64 bits, some 32). The lab lacks internet, so my go-to free solutions are off the table, I can't use something that asks me mail login to function or needs a large download per pc, I need an offline installer here.
I do need an AV in them tho, mainly for students bringing stupid things via USB and stuff sneaking in inside office docs or pdf.
Do you guys have any recommendations?
I guess there are quite a lot of people who stopped using Avira Antivirus because of vpn, software updater, system speedup etc that are dropped during installation without any approval from users.
They used to provide an installer just for users who want their Antivirus only but that seems to be gone from their official website.
However I just found out that Avira still DOES offer an (offline) installer for Avira Antivirus only.
(Note: The installation itself can be done offline but the registration process after the installation requires internet connection)

basically the link for the Antivirus installer is https://download.avira.com/package/antivirus/win/en-us/avira_antivirus_en-us.exe
Hope this information could be useful for you guys
