Was wondering what the underlying hypervisor for Amazon cloud vm is and how it compares to vmware. Perf, Live migration, administration.
What would it take for a vmware admin to stand up a similar in house environment?
When the M5 instances came out I heard lots of reports of bugs and instability. What are everybody's recent experience with them? Any initial impressions of the new T3s?
Nitro based instance types are running fine nowadays. Just be aware that they might be not available in all AZs within region. And I think Nitro is not caching DNS requests where xen based instance were doing that.
I authored the other post you linked to. I'm not having any trouble these days and I recently changed all my t2 to t3 as well (nice CPU % drop as a result)
