Perforce with EC2 pricing
Compute hours are charged for the time the instance is running, not when your application is being used. Storage is charged all the time it is allocated, even if the instance it is attached to is stopped. You get 30gb of EBS general SSD storage. If you add more of either resource and go over the free tier the free tier is still applied and you pay only the difference More on reddit.com

June 22, 2018 -
Hello,
I started working with AWS since 1 year now, my free tier will expire very soon and I wonder how much people pay for using a standard Stack ? (EC2 + RDS + EBS)
If I understood correctly the prices, this is my estimations for my usages:
-
EC2 t2.micro : 10$/month
-
EC2 EBS 30GB: 3,50$/month
-
RDS: 14,25$/month
-
ElasticSearch Service: 28$/months
-
Elasticsearch EBS: 3$/months
A total of 60$/month to run a web application on the lowest performances...
I think it's not cheap at all
Is my calculation correct? What is your case?

Everyone else's points are valid, I just want to add: Cloud can be cheap. For example, if you currently spend $1,000,000 a year in SA salary, data center costs, physical security, hardware replacement, etc.... and you then replace all of that with a cloud solution and 1 guy - you could see a crazy amount of savings. Obviously, this isn't your use case, but calling something cheap or expensive is relative and needs context. That said, you can host a site that gets a million clicks a day on AWS for pennies/dollars if you build it the right way. Cloudfront + S3 + API Gateway + Lambda + DynamoDB can get you quite a lot, even with the free tier. Theres also Lightsail and ECS which could lead to savings depending on your configuration and needs.
