Hello lovely people!
I am looking at a really lovely dress from Azazie for my civil wedding ceremony on Nov 15. I’m just a bit confused by the production vs shipping times.
When I selected my custom size it said 2.5 weeks production time but then when I did the check out it still said that with expedited shipping I could still get it by Oct 31-Nov 2.
How true is this? Do the production times get rushed if you go with expedited shipping?
Please, help! I REALLY love the dress and would love to wear it for me and my fiancé’s special day!
Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
Hi weddit! I'm in a wedding this spring and they are starting to look at wedding party dresses. With the current supply chain issues, he is wondering what the current turn around time from order to receiving your dress is at Azazie. Has anyone ordered from them recently and what was your turn around time? We are a bit nervous as the bridesmaid dresses for my wedding were ordered from a traditional bridal shop and took 6 months to arrive. They look like a great option for this wedding party with everyone scattered otherwise, but my friend wants a recent review on it before going ahead! TIA!
Has anyone recently ordered from Azazie? If so, how long did it take you to receive your order?
I am getting married in September and I am having my bridesmaids pick their dresses from there but my sister is due in July. I'm not quite sure when she should try to order her dress since we have no idea what size she will be since this is her first pregnancy (not that that really matters in the end. Yay hormones!)
Also, I'm not worried about the dye batch being an issue. So I'm going to tell the others girls to just choose whatever they want as long as they order by XXX date.
Hi, just a quick wondering. How long did it take for your azazie swatches to ship? And how long did it take for the try-on (bridesmaid) dresses to ship? My experience with the swatches is very slow so far.. they’re just swatches and I’m in no rush right now, so it’s whatever but I’m just curious if this is an indicator for when we actually purchase dresses?
Just wondering if anyone has ordered from Azazie for dresses. My wedding is July 24 and was going to order but they are showing their delivery time as July 1-20. I didn't realize that the dresses were made to order, and I'm afraid they will be here closer to the end of estimated delivery date.
I was just wondering if anyone here, living in Canada, has purchased bridesmaid dresses from azazie, and if the duty and customs have been a lot? I was thinking of getting my bridesmaids dresses from there but I don't want to have to pay an arm and a leg for the import fees.
For those who have ordered through Azazie, did your dress arrive on time? Late? Early?
To make a long story short, one of the gals in the bridal party is jobless and has no other source of income to purchase her dress. She refuses to accept monetary help from her SO. Every time the subject is brought up, she gets upset and says she'll take care of it with no real plan on how she's going to come up with the funds. The current estimated delivery window is 3 weeks before the wedding. I'm wondering if she has a little bit of leeway (I know it's a MAJOR risk) or if I should bring this up to bride and come up with a back up plan in case there will be no dress day-of.
**Edit: I wanted to edit this post with my results in case there's anyone searching this sub for similar info. I ordered a custom size dress on 3/2 with an estimated delivery date of 4/9-4/14. I received the actual dress on 4/9. Spot on with the delivery date however the dress was too big. I wish I could say it was due to weight loss (lol) but it wasn't! I will need alterations to bring the dress in. Azazie does reimburse up to $50 in alterations cost but this is gonna cost more than that. Bummer.
I’m trying to schedule a little mock boutique try-on at home with my MOH & moms, because I don’t plan on buying my dress in store.
I plan on ordering a few samples from Azazie, and trying to plan it so that I will still be able to return it on time (within a week). The shipping times vary widely, says 1-3 days for processing and 1-10 days to ship.
Just wondering if any brides have done this, and if so how long did it take for your sample dresses to arrive?
I ordered several rounds of samples from them and they were sent out within 2-4 days, and then it took 7-8 days for shipping. I’m sure this varies depending on what day you order and where you live but that was my experience based on 3 orders.
ETA: this was for bridesmaid dresses, not sure if it’s different for bridal!
I ordered like 8 samples and it took 2 weeks for them to come in.
My fiancé and I for several reasons have been planning our wedding pretty quickly. Luckily we mostly have everything done. Venue and vendors are booked, and I have my wedding dress. Wedding is 4.5 months away.
We are having bridesmaids and groomsmen. How late is too late for me to have my bridesmaids order dresses of the same color palette from Azazie?
Not too late! You can get dresses within under a month for sure
Azazie also notes which dresses/colors ship under 48 hrs
Mine ordered in mid-May for an early Sept wedding, and everything was in within three weeks. And this was at the height of covid shipping delays in 2020.
Hey! I'm a bridesmaid in my soon to be SILs wedding. I ordered my dress on 2/25/24. I did custom sizing, I'm not sure if that matters. The confirmation email said that I should expect my dress between 3/21/24 and 3/27/24. I got an email on 3/9/24 that the dress has shipped from the shop and I will receive a tracking email once it passes through customs.
Well, it is the 21st today and I have not received any updates. When I check on the order status it on the website, it still says "in production-final production stages". Should I be concerned? The wedding is on 5/11/24 so there is sometime but I want the dress ASAP so I can figure out what kind of undergarments I need as it's a halter top with a low back so strapless bras are out of the question, some reviews say you don't need a bra but I just want time to figure out if I need sticky cups and which type of sticky cups will work well for me.
I would appreciate some help or guidance! I'm a first time bridesmaid and I don't want to concern the bride as she has a million things going on. Thanks! 💗
I know this has been asked before but I couldn’t find one that’s more recent. Our wedding is May 17th. I was debating on having the girls order their dresses in January after the holidays or sending them out this week. I’m just not sure if that’s enough time or not in January.
I think most if not all of the girls are doing custom sizes so if they needed alterations it would be very minimal (hopefully). I thought about sending them out this week but I really hate asking people to buy dresses right before the holidays. What do you guys think from experience? Is ordering in January enough time? (4 months ish away) or this month - 5 months away, but holidays. Thanks everyone!
Just ordered my sisters dresses on Black Friday for my March wedding. They’re custom sizing and supposed to strive by December 17 so 3 weeks
I’m not sure if it’s different with custom sizing but my girls ordered for Black Friday. One already came in and the others have an estimated delivery of 12/15 I believe.
Just wondering. I know they have a little thread on their website suggesting to order 4 months in advance but it looks like that article was last updated in late 2023. I am looking at dresses now and when I click on a specific one it’ll show a shipping time which seems like a quick turnaround for most (like 3 week turnaround time for custom order). Have you found this to be accurate or should I stick with the rule of ordering 4 months out? (I know dresses need time for alterations after getting the dress itself, so I’m just asking about the shipping timeframes themselves listed on each dress) Thanks!
MOH and I sent the color scheme in February, wedding is in October.
Only my MOH has her dress in hand, everyone else (6 girls) either is waiting for theirs to arrive, has not ordered it yet, and one bridesmaid didn’t even get her Azazie try ons yet. She’ll still have to order her actual one after the try on comes in.
Am I wrong to be worried??? What do I do if they don’t all come in on time??
My wedding is 7 months out, is it time for me to start my bridesmaid group chat so they can start looking at dresses? They don't have a specific dress to buy, I'm having them order a dress from Azazie in Cabernet and in chiffon, so they can choose a dress that fits their body. Wedding date is June 9, 2024. 1 MOH, 1 Matron of honor, 2 Jr bridesmaids, 3 regular bridesmaids.
Hey everyone! Looking to order my bridesmaids dresses from Azazie in the next month but wondering if anyone has experienced any delays or problems due to tariffs? Wedding isn't until September but if delays are a few months then it would be risky and I might order from David's Bridal or Birdy Grey instead. If anyone's ordered from them in the past month or so would really like to hear your experience!
My best friend just ordered her custom sized wedding dress from Azazzie, but now that the tariffs are coming into play, we have real concers about this doubling the cost her dress but not knowing for sure till its delivery time.
Has anyone been affected by this yet?
UPDATE (03/04/24) a tutorial on Azazie bridesmaid dresses ordering - Man what a ride. So, I came back to update because I got MOST of the dresses I was wanting into two separate orders, which is 6 dresses total. I dont think what I did could be considered "secrets" to getting what you are needing, but I think the stuff I did or the experience I had will be helpful so here I go.

Measuring is first -
Your first step should be to figure out what your measurements are according to the short simple video that they have on the Azazie website. The reason for this is bec you will want to know what your measurements are according to how they make the dresses. For example, Azazie says to measure the height from the collar bone down to the floor with NO shoes, while other sites like KennedyBlue say to measure using the shoes you intend to wear with the dress. Azazie also says to measure using the bra you will be wearing. Then take those measurements to their standard dress sizes graph (thats the one that has A1, A2, A3, etc.). Align your largest measurement to the closest standard size (per their recommendation). They also say if it doesn't match exactly to size up rather than down (because you can always pull a dress in to see how it looks if its big, but not if its too small). The standard size is particularly important for getting the Home Try-On dresses that are available. And my suggestion is to have a package of multipurpose metal coated clips to use to cinch the dress (when its loose) in place bec it helps a lot with seeing how it will look. -
Finding the style- Much of my time I spent going thru EVERY SINGLE bridesmaids dress that Azazie owns. I mean every single one, from beginning to end. I even went thru the Mother of the Bride section (there's more ling sleeved ones there). In case anyone is confused, Azazie has two different stocks, they have a stock where you can order dresses (and these will always show every size & color as available). And the other stock is the Home Try-On stock which is always being checked-out/returned so the availability is fluctuating fast. So I decided to start in the order stock, (not the Home Try on) and filter by color because there is one frabric that doesn't come in my color (the Luxe Knit fabric doesn't come in Dusty Sage) so that I could see what dresses they offer as a whole, and not just for trying on. From going thru their stock, I want to point out a very helpful point- many of the styles repeat somewhat! I mean in some cases there is some minor detail differences, but in a couple of cases I almost couldn't tell them apart! This is helpful for Home Try On shopping, since many dresses are out-of-stock, if you are loving a specific style, then keep an eye out for other dresses of that same or similar style. For example, I loved the dress Maren, which is very similar to Ashia. I wanted to try on the Hillian dress, but the Kaleigh dress is also very similar. The Bonnie dress, and Cherish dress are also not identical but have similar styling too. Some of the simple styles have LOTS of dress options, just depends on what you are looking for. Pay attention to the corner banner on some of the photos, it tells you if its Satin, Luxe Knit, or Stretchy. So have a list of your favorite dresses to least favorite that you like, put them in some kind of order by preference. Having the dresses all listed out means you aren't trying to SHOP forva dress the same time you are trying to get it available in Home Try on. It helped me a LOT to go online, see what was available or not, and move on to the next option on my list without even needing to hesitate. I was able to act / adapt quickly.

Home Try-On- This was wild. Availability of specific dresses just seemed near impossible ( Im looking at you Norah dress!) and with the Home Try-On, its different than the order section, because the Azazie company says that ordering a dress in a specific color/size is easy to be made. But choosing from their try ons means you are choosing from a stock. So they (and I ) recommend that you focus most on finding dresses available to check-out in your closest standard size, and completely ignore the color. That is, just be willing to try the style in any color that is available in your size, so that you can get that thing on your body to see how it feels and looks based on its fit rather than the color. Now this obviously won't work for everyone, this is gonna be mostly for people who have already been told what the color is, and not trying to decide the color. Keep in mind, even if a dress is out, it EVENTUALLY has to make its way back to be returned (unless everyone is purchasing the try-on dresses which is possible, but many wont be). So with ignoring the color, this means you will do the opposite of what you did for order stock (which was filter by color) and instead filter the Home Try-On section as filter by size. The most frustrating part is if you are NOT in the section for Home Try On dresses, you will think you are looking at the dress being In Stock when thats the order section. Ways to know you are in the right place is if it says the dress is $10, then you know you are in the Home Try On. If the price is more than that, then you are not. You can quickly shift over to the Home Try On section by scrolling down on a dress listing and click on the link that says Try this Dress Before You Buy. When it came down to me being determined to get the dresses sent to me, I basically spent time checking the website often by refreshing the tabs until something was made available. I kept checking ALL the dresses on my list to see if the ones I liked less were more easily in stock (they were). So if I got 2 desirable dresses, I then plugged in a more available dress, and got a total of 3 dresses to try on. The second order I did the same way.

Website vs App - The computer, versus the phone browser, versus the app. Anything on the phone for ME took a lot of time. Having the Azazie website open on my computer seemed to load faster, and therefore was a lot less frustrating for when I was ready to pounce on the Home-Try On dresses. I also registered a separate email address to use on the Azazie website/app because I was thinking that the notifications of when a dress comes back in stock would be helpful. They were not. The notifications were always delayed (So I would go on and see a dress available and it was not notifying me immediately). Another issue I encountered with the notify me when its back in stock feature, is that it wants you to add a notification for a specific color. And thats fine, but if you are employing the approach I mentioned of trying on any color, then this is tedious to go thru and add a notification for every single 30+ colors that they have. Its also a little bit maddening bec when you open the notification window, it tells you the last time the dress was leant out, and it can be frustrating to see that it was available that day or yesterday or whatever. But also, that's how I knew that the stock was fluctuating faster than anyone was really realizing, bec of that list. So anyway I made a typed-up list so I could add or move dresses on that list with ease of editing. I had dresses sorted in first place (I LOVE these dresses), second place (I like these dresses), and third place (Maybe/Not sure). And then I arranged all dresses from most desired to least.

BACK UP PLAN (that I didn't use) - Each dress individually says $10. This means that you could actually just get one dress to try on for $10. So if a highly sought after dress becomes available, I would suggest putting a Try-On order thru for the 1 dress, instead of trying to wait to have three available all at once for the $20. That was my backup plan because I really just wanted to try the dresses I loved the most. But hey, for ten dollars more, I could stick 2 lesser desired dresses in to the order based on my list. So that's what I did. But I figured even if I had to pay $10 each for a dress to try, that came at different times, then it would end up around $30 for three dresses. It wasnt that bad.

Suggestion - Get three full bridal swatches mailed to you for free. Full bridal swatch has a piece of all their fabrics in the right color (again, Im coming from being told what the color is, and not trying to choose it). And by having a few swatches you ensure you have some sample pieces just in case there was some kind of an emergency. No one ever really wants to think about if something happens to a dress or supply chain or whatever, but I think having a swatch means you are empowered to replace the dress & still match if something happened where it needed to be replaced. On Azazie its currently free to get, w/ free shipping, and swatches can take a couple weeks, so why not?
Original Post (02/23/2024) - I've never ordered a bridesmaid dress before! The bride told us to order thru Azazie or KennedyBlue (Dusty Sage from Azazie, or Sage from KennedyBlue, apparently those match). I am having extremely tough time getting access to the Home Try-on dresses in my size (Im looking at trying ANY color in my size). I've picked like 15+ dresses, so I don't think I'm being super picky, but they're still out. On Azazie, the current special says three dresses for $20, but how are people even getting them all available at the same time? It also seems like demand is very high right now for the all the try-on dresses. Have yall ever just ordered a standard sized dress to try on, then return? Is that allowed, or is this a huge no no? I just want to try on a few dresses before I pick. Otherwise, I'll either have to buy without trying on, or I'll have to find dresses elsewhere and risk color differences (or wait a while for color swatches to arrive from other companies?)
Edit 1: Also, is there any website/service that actively compares the swatches of every dress carrier?? Seems like this would be massively helpful!
Edit 2: Wedding is in Oct. 2024, and will be across the country from where I am. So I'm not even in the same state as the bride.
I just returned some try-on dresses and it was definitely hard to find some close to my size in the styles I wanted 😅
You could order an actual dress (or a few) and return it if it’s not a custom size, but just know it takes a lot longer to arrive. (Like, a month vs a few days)
Not sure if you're doing this, but definitely check out the dress you want in your size but other colors. I've done the home try on several times for bridesmaid dresses and only get my actual color like 25% of the time, but at least you can still try it on! You can order a color swatch too just to have it if you need it to accessorize
My cousin is getting married and my daughter is co-flower girl with another girl and they are supposed to have matching dresses. I ordered the dress my cousin picked out from azazie back in April with more than enough time to get it within their stated lead time. They just canceled my order two weeks before the wedding with no possibility of receiving the dress as the shipment from china is “lost”. They’re putting me in SUCH a bad spot. Now I have to work with an already stressed bride to figure out a solution, scramble around and find some acceptable replacement, and likely pay rush shipping… azazie didn’t even offer me a coupon code for a future order and barely acknowledged my predicament even when I talked to someone on the chat. Don’t rely on this company if it’s for something important!
