I just returned some try-on dresses and it was definitely hard to find some close to my size in the styles I wanted 😅
You could order an actual dress (or a few) and return it if it’s not a custom size, but just know it takes a lot longer to arrive. (Like, a month vs a few days)

I keep hearing this website mentioned for budget dresses and was curious about people's experiences. Was it worth it? Did you end up getting any of their dresses? Are the dresses still generally good quality for the price? What's the difference between a "dress sample" and a dress?
We're hoping to stay under $1k combined for both brides' dresses, so this would be a lifesaver if it works out.

It seems like a lot of people in here are talking from a bridesmaid perspective so I’ll chime in with my at home try on experience for sample dresses. I ordered two to try, it was $15/piece and I didn’t love the experience. The dresses were itchy, the skirts had a LOT of material which felt bulky and awkward, they were too big so they didn’t look flattering and there wasn’t anyone there to help clip me or anything so I could get a better picture of what it’d look like better fitted, and the dress filled the space I was trying it on in so it felt overwhelming. I actually really preferred my experience trying on in boutiques because there’s more space, a professional to help you with the dresses and clip you in, BIG BIG mirrors, a pedestal to stand on so the dresses don’t feel super long and awkward, and the other designers I tried on felt better quality and more comfortable (with the exception of Galia Lahav which was actually super itchy and stabbing me in one spot). If you’re looking for a more affordable dress I would recommend trying on in person there or at David’s Bridal and not at home because there’s a huge difference in experience and (in my opinion) not in a good way.
