Value-added services – Partners have the power to leverage CSP to add managed services and/or 3rd-party applications in addition to Azure services. Provisioning – Directly provision customers and subscriptions and manage services through new portals and accompanying APIs. Management – Through multi-tenant capabilities, partners are able to manage all of their customers’ subscriptions across services.

Work with your CSP partner to create target Azure CSP subscriptions. Ensure that the source and target CSP subscriptions are in the same Microsoft Entra tenant. You can't change the Microsoft Entra tenant for an Azure CSP subscription.

There are two levels of admin privileges for Azure in CSP: Tenant-level admin privileges (that is, delegated admin privileges) give you access to your customers' tenants.

Doing so creates a shared services tenant and purchases the Azure CSP Shared Services subscription, to be used for shared resources and internal workload.

We are currently implementing Azure Lighthouse to manage our customers to get rid of guest accounts and directory switching into customer tenants. The current strategy is to use the CSP Tenant as a management enviroment for all Azure Resources - Customers as well as own company resources.

Azure in CSP is an Azure plan with various subscriptions that are hosted by the partner's Microsoft Partner Agreement (MPA). The MPA is similar to the Microsoft customer agreement.

Contoso may also have regular (direct) Azure subscriptions, which are billed directly to Contoso. The CSP partner's tenant has three special agent groups - Admin agents, Helpdesk agents, and Sales agents.

Partners must suspend subscriptions on the transitioning from partner tenant account in Partner Center the same day that those subscriptions are transitioned and set up under the Transitioning to partner tenant account in the Partner Center to ensure double billing does not occur. Support requests will be denied for credits due to any overlap in billing that occurs from not correctly disabling the Transitioning from subscriptions. Disabling the CSP subscription under the Transitioning from partner accounts stops any future billing. You don't have to manually disable Azure subscriptions, because Azure subscriptions are automatically disabled during the transfer process.

1 month ago - Log in as the partner tenant. From the left menu, select Setup > Accounts > Azure Service Principal. Click New Service Principal. Paste values from the text editor into the Service Principal configuration form. Click Save Service Principal. To verify that the billing account Service Principal was configured correctly, go to Assets > Azure > Billing Account and confirm that the billing account appears. Configure your Microsoft CSP customers so that you can manage them in the Tanzu CloudHealth platform.

To manage a customer's Azure resources in CSP, partners can use role-based access control (RBAC). This feature allows you to maintain operational control and continuously oversee management tasks. Admin on Behalf of - With AOBO, any user with the Admin agent role in the partner tenant has RBAC owner access to Azure subscriptions that you create through the CSP program.

The process begins with a request for an Azure Government tenant. For more information and to begin the validation, see Microsoft Azure Government trial. Once complete, you should receive a tenant to activate your enrollment in the Cloud Solution Provider program for the US government.

Microsoft Entra tenant roles include global admin, user admin, and CSP roles. Non-Azure-AD roles are roles that don't manage the tenant.

September 4, 2023 - Crucially, when a Cloud Solution Provider sells you an Azure Subscription, they should create it under your existing Microsoft Tenant (unless you don't have one). That makes it easy for you to move the billing relationship for that subscription to a different Cloud Solution Provider without having to make any technical changes, should you ever want to.
