Are baggy clothes really considered childish?
Short curvy folks: how do you style baggy loose fitting outfits while looking put together?
Thoughts on baggy clothes?
Why do Americans wear such baggy clothes? Is slim fit clothing ever acceptable?
As the title says I get a lot of online media content of people saying baggy clothes are childish and arent for grown adults?
Im 19 and a tall big fella but not wide, but I prefer baggy clothes cause of their comfort, chafing and the feeling of clothes tight on my skin feels uncomfortable to me. I don’t have a fit build so I naturally I would’t wear anything that is fitted or tapered to me. Does anyone else have a baggy style? All my pants are wide legged/loose fit, minimum for me would be straight leg/relaxed.
Like I know when I’m older I’ll have a totally different style than I do now so it isn’t that big of a deal to me, but why do people dislike the look so much? Shouldn’t style be something you feel comfortable in? I can’t wrap my head around how the look of it could be hated on.
Hey everyone,
I mean put together, as in a casual work setting for example, nothing formal, but also not just throwing on a cardigan and tee shirt with leggins. An elevated version if you will.
How do you go about figuring out what silhouette actually works for your body when dressing with looser fitting pieces—Do you go for more structure, strategic color-blocking, or something else? How do you balance comfort without looking like a tent? (whatever references I see of people rocking loose fits are generally slim or tall people, or both)
Do you always wear tight bottom if top is baggy, and vice versa? Is there other "rules" to keep in mind when styling yourself with baggier fits?
As someone who wants body to feel comfortable and flexible, but want to look stylish, I'd also love to see who some style influencers or models that do this successfully!
Thanks!!
I don’t know what this style would be called, but basically it’s baggy/wide jeans (or jorts) typically with patterns like crosses or cyber sigilism(?) and I’ve seen pictures of people that make this look really nice, and my girlfriend does a lot of thrifting and dresses similarly, and she looks great and always recommends that I try this style, but I feel like I look a little goofy and it doesn’t make me feel my age (I’m 22). I feel like the problem is you need a certain body type to make it work, like have abs kind of body, and while I do work out, I’m still on the heavier side.
