i’m on the search for a good pair of sweatpants that would fit my boyfriend for christmas. he’s 6’4, has a slim build, and has loooong legs.
preferably pretty relaxed fitting instead of a slim – any colours/price range!
i’ve been looking at abercrombie/hollister but their tall inseams are listed as 30” and 30.75” and i’m not too sure if they’d be long enough on him!
any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

update: the abercrombie essential baggy sweatpants (tall) fit him really well! he says they’re the most comfortable pants he owns now and wears them all the time :D

Got them for a good price cause they were on sale. Noticed they are tapered towards the lower leg which is annoying. Any way to get rid of this? Maybe stretching / cutting the opening or bring them to a tailor? I prefer a straight legged look.

Not really anything you can do. If you stretch them (you probably can’t), they’ll just look stretched. To make them not look stretched would either be impossible or so expensive that you might as well buy new pants. You can taper straight pants at a tailor, but not vice versa, because the material you’d need to do that isn’t there. I guess they could remake the entire pants to narrow them all the way through, but that would basically be a different size pant, and would again be way more expensive than just buying new pants.

It can be done by opening the seam to the zig zag stitched edging. Any tailor or seamstress can do this effectively. However, if there is fading, then the unfaded finish will show as a long thin triangle. I have had success doing it myself with a pair of very light jeans by using bleach on a small paint brush, and on a pair of beige carpenters pants that had a small taper. On this latter pair, you would have to look very closely to see the inside material showing on the outside. It is more obvious, but looks intentional, on the bleached jeans.
