My 2 yo son has a pretty bad eczema flare up on his hands. He has 100% cotton sheet on his crib. I think he scratches his hands on the crib sheet at night when they itch. There’s usually quite a bit of blood on the sheet in the morning and his hands will be pretty raw. We’re trying scratch sleeves with mittens tonight but he’s fighting them pretty hard.
I’m interested in getting new sheets that are smooth enough so he can’t scratch his hands and hopefully we can end this sleep/scratch cycle. I’m not opposed to spending the extra money on silk sheets IF they are worth it for this case. Anyone have experience? Silk vs bamboo?
My 8 month old has "100% organic cotton" IKEA crib sheet but I'm thinking they aren't good enough since he mostly sleeps on his tummy and always has a reddish rash in the morning. They also feel a bit rough. And he does also have mild baby eczema with flareups.
I've heard maybe bamboo sheets? another more expensive organic cotton?
