Why is my USB microphone not working in Bandlab connected through an OTG Android phone? The phone supports OTG, the microphone LED lights up but does not record. The microphone works on PC perfectly. - Quora
Answer (1 of 4): The mobile phone is also a computer, and its OS is android. In all computers, their OSes require the correct drivers for each connected peripheral for the latter to work, and work correctly. Your USB microphone has the correct drivers installed on the PC, but none or the wrong on...

r/Bandlab on Reddit: Recording with headphones (pls help)
March 16, 2021 -

Recently whenever I've recorded something with headphones (which I have to use so I can listen to the previous track while I record) it automatically tries to use the microphone on the headphones, it never did this before and the bluetooth headphones I use have terrible microphone quality that cuts out. I've tried using wired headphones with no mic but then it just refuses to record. Please help, I like bandlab and there really is no alternative for mobile so I'd really like a solution, I've tried everything.

*I'm using the app on android btw

r/Bandlab on Reddit: Can’t allow the app microphone access
October 3, 2023 -

I deleted and redownloaded the app, and it’s asking for access to my microphone, and I can’t figure out how to give it access. It had access before, but now it won’t let me open a project or start a new project at all. It redirects me to my settings, but there’s nothing there. Nothing in settings allows me to give the app microphone access, and I can’t find anything in the apps settings either. I even opened the browser version and gave that microphone access, but as far as I’m aware that didn’t translate over to the app. What can I do?

r/Bandlab on Reddit: Input level/microphone volume
June 8, 2021 -

Hello, apologies if this is already answered, I tried searchimg but could not find anything that is actually relevant.

So my issue is that any time i try to record vocals over an existing instrumental track, the microhpone will not pick up my voice loudly enough. It's so, so, so quiet that you can't hear my voice at all unless I either apply a gain fx at around 80% and risk distortion, or drop the volume of the instrumental by about 50% or more (which makes the finished product too quiet, and isn't practical for group projects where all the other singers have no volume issues). I'm singing as loudly as I can, and while I don't project very well, I know I'm not as quiet as the recording suggests.

I've tried recording on a Samsung s10+ (i know it is impossible to change the input level on android) and a razer stealth laptop. I've tried using an audiotechnica usb mic, a razer seiren usb mic, regular headphone mic, and the built in microphones on both devices.

Is there a way to raise the input level when using bandlab on a pc? I want to keep troubleshooting this, but I dont know if it's bandlab in general that is the issue, if it's me, or if all my microphones are just shit (I mean...they all work fine in an app as terrible as Smule, so I don't understand why it's so much worse in a higher quality software like bandlab).

I'm just extremely frustrated at this point and if anyone has any suggestions or knows how to raise the input volume in bandlab on pc, please let me know!

October 9, 2019 -

For the longest time Bandlab worked fine, I use a USB microphone to record and also a Scarlett Solo audio interface for bass guitar. When I tried to select a device to record today, it automatically switched to "No Device." This happened with every input I had, not just the interface. I have no idea what to do, I can't record anything.

r/Bandlab on Reddit: What mic do you use?
October 28, 2024 -

I love the app the instant effects and just on the phone and I heard a lot of people making really Spotify ready songs. Due to my depression even going to the table is hard. It’s so ridiculous to even say that. But that’s why I ask what mic do you use and how do you connect it to the phone? I have a rode nt1a with XLR and then only bluetooth headphones and with them there is way too much latency and bad quality and I don’t know how to connect the rode mic to a smartphone or if there’s other techniques that are popular that I don’t even know of. Would love to freestyle a little bit tonight in BandLab thank you everybody ❤️🫂
