Got the Royal Caribbean Visa Signature card from Bank of America in October. Have an upcoming cruise booked and want to make sure I get my $300 onboard credit.
Questions:
∙ How do I link/import the card to my Royal Caribbean account? ∙ Will the credit show up before I board or only once I’m on the ship? ∙ Can I use the $300 credit to pre-purchase drink packages or Hideaway Beach day passes through the Cruise Planner?

In addition to what the other user said, there should be a way to link your card through the RCL app. You can't use the app to redeem your rewards, but it's a quick and easy way to see your points balance. As to your other questions, no, the OBC is made available to your "ship account" within a week or two after you redeem it through BoA. You do not need to wait until you're onboard, and can use the OBC to pre-purchase excursions, drink packages, and the like.

You go to the BofA online account and go to redeem your points there. Do note that you have to earn the points (including the special bonus for spending). It’s not just automatic $300 OBC.

November 28, 2025Currently on Royal Caribbean Cruise BOA froze my new Royal Caribbean Credit Card issued by them.
Chat in and ask for a click to dial link for credit card fraud (be specific, just Incase). Make sure it is the tap link, not the tap number. The link will bring you in to an agent authenticated so you don’t have to worry about receiving a text once on the phone. Youre still going to be on hold for a while. The hold times at any major corporation right now is insane.
