Which tile is best for the floor?
Tile flooring is durable, easy to maintain, and naturally resistant to moisture and stains. It offers a wide array of styles and colors and can help keep your home cooler in warmer climates. The best tile type for your floor will depend on your style preferences, budget, and desired level of upkeep.
Porcelain and ceramic are the least expensive and easiest to maintain tile types. Natural stone offers a more sophisticated look, but requires more upkeep.
How do I choose the right tile for my kitchen or bathroom?
When selecting tile for your kitchen, consider durability, ease of cleaning, and resistance to moisture and stains. Porcelain and ceramic tiles are popular choices because they are durable and come in a variety of colors and finishes. Don’t forget to consider how the tile’s color and texture will complement your kitchen’s style and lighting.
Porcelain and ceramic are also ideal for bathrooms due to their water resistance and textured finishes that help prevent slipping. Choosing waterproof epoxy grout helps prevent mold and mildew, maintain cleanliness, and keep your bathroom tiles in great shape.
What floor tiles never go out of style?
Timeless floor tiles often feature neutral colors such as black, white, gray, and beige, which complement a wide range of interior styles and color palettes. Classic patterns like herringbone, subway tile layouts, and geometric mosaics have an enduring and timeless appeal because they add a subtle visual interest.

Best place to buy tile?
I am 100% a Home Depot shopper. My wife calls it my second home. However, when it came time to purchase tile and tile installation materials I went to Floor & Decor. Much larger selection, higher quality brands of materials etc. I use Mapei products and HD just does not carry Schluter waterproofing products at all.
When a specialty store is available you should always look there first. F&D store here is the same size as HD store but focused entirely on tile and flooring. No way HD can keep pace with the options.
