If anyone has been looking into upgrading their chair and has a Costco membership I found a pretty solid one for only $100. I think you can order it online without a membership for a bit more. I was about to splurge on a $400 chair but had come across this one while in Costco this week.

I am looking for a nice Mesh office chair for my setup. Just need recommendations from all price ranges. Best bang for buck.
I totally understand the value of not getting the cheapest chair, but I always see people recommend getting an $800 chair. Isn't there pretty big diminishing returns? How would something like the Staples Hyken Mesh Task Chair or the Bayside Furnishings Metrex IV Mesh Office compare to something like a Steelcase Gesture or a Herman Miller Aeron? Is it truly worth the price difference? (I am pretty young and no back problems)
If you're gonna sit in it for large parts of the day for the next 10+ years, a Herman Miller is probably well worth it. I know it sounds absurd but those things will do wonders for you physically, and they last forever.
Your staples chair will likely last a couple years before it starts leaning to one side or the lumbar misbehaves, then it's actively hurting you.
For the record I have never spent more than $200 on a chair but I wish that I had when I was younger. I am seriously considering it when I get back to my office.
I am sitting in a $1000 Herman Miller Embody right now. It's five years old and one of the foam arm wrests is starting to fall apart. It has some other broken parts, and it squeaks and creaks terribly, which is normal for this model. Also the lifter it came with is too damned short.
I've got a nice chair, but you don't need to spend this much. That Costco chair looks pretty awesome.
The next time I get a new chair I won't spend as much. The difference between a $100 chair and a $500 chair is huge, but there's not a lot of difference between a $500 chair and a $1000 chair.
I had it for one day but decided to return. Size felt small as I was used to chairs with more real estate. Felt like more of my leg and back were exposed to the air and I'm just 5'8. The seat was bucket shaped, so it didn't go well with my preference of widening my legs in a V shape. Overall felt stiff and hard when sitting upright, but only when on full tilt was it comfortable. As I'm working from home, I need something a lot more accommodating as this one just had the typical up/down and tilt adjustments. Well, this is what you get for $100! Not sure if I still needed to "break" into the chair, but a lot of things didn't feel right for me. You only get to know the chair once you have it, not when you sit on it at Costco.
Iโve been using a leather office chair for the past year, and even with a standing desk, I still deal with some lower back pain. Plus, on hot days, my back gets way too sweaty, which isnโt ideal for long work sessions.
Iโm thinking about switching to a fully mesh ergonomic chair with good adjustability to help with posture and comfort. Does anyone have recommendations? I thought about getting a used Aeron, but Iโd rather go for a brand-new chair if there are solid alternatives out there. Would love to hear what you guys are using!
Herman Miller Aeron
10 yrs, still going strong
order the right size for your tushie
Iโve tried two chairs, the Union Scale Flexfit Hyken and the Autonomous ErgoChair Mesh. The Hyken was great at first, but it didnโt even last a year since the mesh stretched out over time. The Mesh, on the other hand, has been worth the money, breathable, comfortable, and solid for long hours of sitting.
I was looking at one when I was shopping yesterday, and it felt a lot more comfortable than my current chair, but it seems like it might not be very durable. Does anyone own one of these? How does it hold up?
I recently got a work from home position and am looking for a good chair that won't wear down after a year. I have considered ordering online but would like to sit in the chair to see what feels most comfortable.
I've noticed a lot of furniture places don't have a lot of offic chairs. Just hoping for some local recommendations.
I bought one a month pre-pandemic, figured out a month into the pandemic that damn chair just never feels comfortable. Couldn't get to Costco during the pandemic, because pandemic.
Now I don't want to be that guy returning a "2 year old" chair.
Currently I'm sitting my ass on a foldable wooden Stakmore chair from Costco, which, with a back cushion, is actually far more comfortable than that Bayside torture device. https://www.costco.com/stakmore-solid-wood-upholstered-folding-chair.product.100468221.html
I hate that fucking chair.
I've had similar chair (most likely an older model) for years and find it very comfortable. Now I need another one and also wishing to have head/neck rest. Does anyone know if they make one, or any universal add-on I can buy?

Starting a full time remote job. My current chair was $40 from Walmart and makes my butt go numb sitting on it. Would like to stay under $100 but will go up to $200 for something nice.
I have access to Sams and Costco if those have any good chairs
Ideally, I would like to get a high quality brand chair that is used. I have seen the Steelcase Leap V1 on sale locally for around $100. This seems to be a pretty good chair. Any other chairs that you would recommend for sitting in for long hours (8-10 hours a day)? I don't mind buying used.
Also looks to be the same as this:http://www.amazon.com/BAYSIDE-FURNISHINGS-METRO-CHAIR-ADJUSTABLE/dp/B00CFN9YIE/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
For a hundred dollars it seems like a good deal, since i've heard it has good lumbar support (i dont want to be hunched over anymore) although i've also heard of the back snapping off, and the bottom breaking or streatching out. I weigh around 200 pounds, would i have a problem with this?
