Flatpaks are amazing, but the technology is still somewhat young. The end goal is for them to provide a popup, Android/iOS style, asking for permission to access something they can’t already access. So, if, let’s say, you press something that makes them request permission for a device, a popup will … Answer from xarishark on universal-blue.discourse.group

Overclocking on Linux (bazzite) - Linux, macOS and Everything Not-Windows - Linus Tech Tips
February 13, 2026 - I want to install bazzite on my laptop (specs in profile) but of course there are several reservations like my "per key" rgb lighting, and more importantly overclocking... this laptop is overclocked to hell and back by Asus , power limits more than doubled for CPU, GPU is also overclocked... r/linux_gaming on Reddit: 6700xt undervolt/overclock settings in Bazzite via LACT guidance needed?
July 7, 2025 -

Hello all, recent linux convert here (at least enough to test it out over the course of this long weekend for me). My rig has a Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 6700 XT 12 GB for gpu, and it has worked well enough for me for the past 2 years on windows 10 with the amd adrenaline software. I had followed a detailed guide for that software for undervolt/overclock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hOKaEKdusZQ, but am having issues figuring out how to translate these settings to Bazzite KDE desktop setup via LACT. I understand the min-max GPU clock bars alongside the max vram clock, but I am unsure of what the minimum vram clock, the GPU voltage offset, and the performance level/power profile mode selections. The power usage limit for my card is shown as 213w with a default of 186.

May 5, 2025 -

Hello all, I was trying to overclock my rtx 4090 cpu on bazzite, i used a windows os to check wich parameters to use, but i keep encountering a problem:

Green with envy seems unable to see the nvidia parameters, apparently it's a common problem related to the fact that the system is using either the hybrid or the integrated SUPERGFX settings.

I tried to force my dGPU through command line but nothing seemed to work. In fact when i list the compatible modes, only integrated and hybrid show up, any idea on how i can solve this?

(Currently out in my car waiting to pickup someone, will update with more detailed info on what i have tried once back home, putting it out there just to make the ball start rolling)

Overclocking Multiple Nvidia GPUs possible in Bazzite ...
January 3, 2024 - When I migrate to Bazzite for my host machine, what is the best way to replicate this setup? Does xwayland allow me to set clocks/power? Is vfio with hardware pass-through for each card a viable solution? (I had this working on Arch a few years ago and liked the set up) Can I use Wayland as my primary WM and open a distrobox with an X11 session to set the clocks while retaining GPU priority in the primary session?

- However, the performance and stability of this driver lags behind the official Nvidia drivers. - It is not possible to manually install the proprietary Nvidia drivers for your older card in Bazzite. - You would need a different Linux distribution that allows for such, if you wish to use the proprietary Nvidia drivers for your GPU.

Undervolt GPU in Bazzite? - Bazzite - Universal Blue
July 22, 2025 - So far, i’m having problem with getting “GreenWithEnvy” to even launch under Bazzite. And LACT does no have settings for voltage option. I believe the system cannot see it/i’ts locked. - I’m far from experienced at Linux. So what do you think?. I used to use MSI Afterburner.

If you enabled it through LACT, select the "disable overclocking" option in the dropdown menu. If you set the boot option yourself, remove it. To enable overdrive on NixOS, you can set the following flag in system configuration: hardware.amdgpu.overdrive.enable = true; Note: if you're using Bazzite, overdrive is enabled automatically when you run ujust install-lact ·

r/linux_gaming on Reddit: Undervolt in BazziteOS
June 3, 2024 -

I have a 5700xt in my mini itx pc so I would like to undervolt the card to reduce fan noise and thermals. Is it possible to undervolt in Bazzite OS? I tried installing CoreCtrl but the app won't launch, haven't tried other packages.

Update: CoreCtrl started working after reboot, added amd control to bootloader (grub) and tried to underclock.

Currently testing with 1080mV 2000mhz, seems stable, temps are lower by 5-6% and RPM not getting as high, auto curve set for fans.

Update2: Settled on 1000mV 1925mhz, such a big difference, fan speed is halved at load and temps are 8-10 °c lower, even the junction temp!

Reduced GPU Clock - Bazzite
August 27, 2023 - In this video, I show you how to add a custom resolution and refresh rate for monitors on Linux systems running X11 using Xrandr. This is useful if the resolution of the monitor isn't detected by default or is running at the wrong refresh rate. This can also be used to overclock the frequency of a monitor or force a given resolution for older V...

r/linux_gaming on Reddit: Changing gpu on bazzite.
August 20, 2024 -

So I'm currently using bazzite desktop (gnome) on a 2060. I came across an rx 7600xt, and would like to use it. From my understanding amd is better for linux gaming, am i right in thinking that? I didn't have any plans of switching my gpu this soon, so I had already made the switch from windows as I was just over it at that point. Is there anything specific I need to do? I'm assuming I just make a bootable usb, and run the installer again, like usual, but figured I'd ask before I made the rest of my night alot less fun. Should I rebase first? Does that apply in this scenario at all? Is it possible to move over to the amd version without the Bootable? Sorry if im asking dumb questions, i've been playing with Linux for over a decade, but only here and there, and nothing more advanced than basic Ubuntu, until I got my steam deck. Any advice would be very welcome.

*Edit; nvm, I'm dumb. Lol thanks for the help! Much appreciated.
