It might sound a little odd to some, but one of my favourite hobbies that I enjoy most during my free time is actually just walking around different areas of London; I particularly enjoy evening and night time strolls. I just love soaking up the big city vibes, appreciating the architecture of the buildings that surround me and enjoying the atmosphere. Often, I'll also imagine in my head how the place must have changed (or perhaps not) over various points throughout history.
Some of my favourite areas for night time walks, where the atmosphere is amazing (in my opinion), are: Paddington, Bloomsbury, King's Cross, Bayswater, Fitzrovia and Kensington. More specifically, I love walking down Westbourne Terrace and Sussex Gardens in Paddington and Inverness Terrace in Bayswater is beautiful at night too.
Is anyone else here an enthusiastic walker who just loves strolling around our beautiful capital city? What areas do you particularly enjoying strolling around? Which has the best atmosphere/vibes in your opinion (especially for a good night time walk)?

For someone that doesn't drink or go partying, what's there to do in London at night? It seems like a lot of places close early too. What should I do in London when it's nighttime? First time visiting and it seems like I just retire back to the hotel by 8pm. Any favorite places to go or streets to explore?
