Can’t track shipping?
Bed Bath and Beyond is a Disaster of Company - Here Are My Recent Experiences With Them
its been a week and my order is still being processed
Continuous Issues with BBB orders
2 days ago I ordered from BBB and it still hasn’t processed. But what’s worse.. the Order ID is saying it doesn’t match my email address so I can’t track it. And now calling their 1800 number to check order status just redirects me to customer service.. which they have a 3hr wait time for.
Yday, I was on hold for a total of 3hrs because I wanted to cancel my order yet they apparently don’t do that, the guy advised me to just return in store when I get it. I called again because my email address wasn’t recognized and even the lady on the phone said it wasn’t working for her.
Wtf is happening ??? I should’ve read the numerous complaints about their online ordering before I ordered online.
UPDATE: They’ve sent me an email on wednesday saying its shipped but by the looks of it... they really just printed out a label and haven’t even given it to fedex yet. Its been 2 days and its stuck at “Shipment information sent to Fedex”. I don’t think I’ll be buying from BBB online anymore. I get it with COVID causing delays but atleast make the delivery dates accurate. Ordered sunday with estimated delivery 9/23-9/28 and it hasn’t even moved.
Bed Bath and Beyond's eCommerce and delivery system is a complete disaster, which will leave them way behind their competitors as consumer shopping habits continue to move more digitally. I've personally had 3 issues over the past 6 months with online orders from them.

On October 5, I placed an order online for delivery. On October 19, I hadn't received my items and the order tracking still showed the items at their warehouse. So I called customer service and they reprocessed the order, which was then delivered on October 22, 14 business days after my original order was placed.

On December 14, I placed an order to a few items, one of which was only available for in store pick up. On December 16, I received an email notification that my in-store pick up item was cancelled because I hadn't picked it up yet. There are numerous reasons why this is infuriating as a customer. First, I was never given a date by which I needed to get the item or risk having it cancelled. Second, 2 days is a unrealistically short time frame for a pick up, when most retailers give their customers 5-7 days.

Most recently I placed an order on February 19. When I placed the order, the delivery date was February 26. When the 26th came and went with no package, I checked the order status and it now said the expected delivery was March 3. March 3 came and went with no package. I checked the tracking status online and it says "In Transit". On March 5 I called Bed Bath's customer service to get more information. They said the expected delivery date is March 12, 3 weeks from my order date. They offered me a $25 credit for the inconvenience.
Needless to say, Bed Bath has proven unreliable on multiple occasions when it comes to delivering items. In the future, if the items I need are important and I need to get them in a reasonable amount of time, I will definitely not be purchasing from Bed Bath and Beyond. As the old saying goes, "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." I'm sure there are tens of thousands of Bed Bath customers that are experiencing the same issues, who will be switching their future purchasing behaviors to other companies. I can't see how Bed Bath and Beyond survives given how they operate. Even if they do improve their eCommerce and delivery systems, they will already have alienated and lost a lot of customers, like me.
For once, I think the WallStreetBets people have it wrong. Bed Bath and Beyond will go to zero, not the moon. The short sellers have it right this time. Who wants to wait 3 weeks for their items to be delivered, when Amazon, Target, etc... get it to you in 1-2 days.
