Beware of Bed Threads
Looking for an affordable alternative to bed threads linen set
Best Bed Sheet Material / Fabric? Egyptian Cotton vs Bamboo (Viscose or lyocell), etc...
If you can afford 100% linen, it's the absolute best in terms of feel, breathability and especially for controlling temperature. In the US, a quality set is $175 on super seasonal sale *edit at stores like The Company Store or Cuddledown / $200ish at Costco [website only? possibly discontinued?]. I have a set from the Company Store that is fantastic.
If not, 100% cotton and at least 600 thread count "sateen" style is very soft, breathes well, and will last you a good long time.
Do not buy "cotton rich" or any blends. Do not buy rayon or polyester. As another user mentioned, bamboo is so frequently adulterated/falsely labelled and usually feels so cheap, I won't buy it.
EDIT The Company Store (US) is currently having a sale! Their "Comfort Wash" linen sheets are the ones I have (&love). I think the price is what I paid or slightly more. Use code TGHNOV16 for extra 15% off.

More on reddit.comHey folks! I treated myself to a beautiful set of sheets from bed threads about two months ago. They kept popping up on my instagram and the reviews were solid, so I went for it.
I’ve never left a product review in my life–so for me to go on a site and actually take time to write a review should speak for itself.
My one star review was on the site for maybe two minutes before it disappeared. I then realized all the reviews for the set were five stars, and there were only nine. I obviously can’t confirm this, but I’m led to believe the company removes negative reviews from their consumer site (which is perfectly legal). An agent over chat told me my review was simply going to take awhile to publish, but I had already seen it up.
Anyway, I really don’t recommend bed threads. I wanted to love them, but they’re scratchy and uncomfortable even after breaking the linen in. They wrinkle like nothing I’ve ever seen no matter how I wash and treat them. And they look more muted than the photos.
Real bummer, but don’t waste your money–they’re expensive!
