This sucks. I don't like what happened at all. I trusted Google Store had decent engineers on staff. Or Belkin after all their "USB-IF Certify everything" schpeil. I was wrong. This does the same thing the bad Anker cable did, except with an entire car instead of a charger. Fake Rd, tricks things into sending power when inappropriate, Bob's your uncle. Hire Better Engineers. Or at least ones that follow up on user reports. Or waste $1mil+ on bad production runs and another $1mil+ on the recall and insurance claims. Is this one safe to use? Also curious about OP's question since I just ordered it so I was searching about it and saw all the posts about it having hardware issues and to stay away from it. The specs on the google store website doesn't show the model number but on my order receipt it says F7U006BT04-BLK-MG-718615d-1.

It looks like the Belkin charges at 10W, while all the others are 7.5W. I'm new to the Magsafe game so I just want to make sure I'm not missing any other options that charge at higher than 7.5W.
Edit: I should add that I'm totally fine with a vent mount, and would actually l prefer it. They work perfectly in my car.

It only charges at 7.5W as well. MagSafe branding is frankly super consumer hostile, and makes it seem like something can do what it can not. The only way to get faster MagSafe charge speeds is to supply your own MagSafe charger with a car mount adapter. Hopefully that will change soon however, as Apple finally started selling the part to manufacturers. Edit: lol was waiting for the downvotes. MagSafe is great folks! But Apple still shouldn’t let companies use the word “MagSafe” at all unless it is fully compatible with spec. You and I might know the difference, but lord knows the average shopper doesn’t. USB C seems to leave way too much rope for OEM's to hang themselves (and/or their users) with when it comes to properly adhering to the spec. I think I'll keep using my standard chargers and the OEM Google wall charger when I need fast charging.
