Apple should open source MagSafe and encourage Qi and Android makers to adopt it as part of the wireless charging standard. Then phone users would get these magnetic chargers built into the real world. Would be awesome if all car makers had these magnetic chargers built into the car dashboard itself right from the factory. Not something added to a vent or the windscreen, but a bespoke seamless dashboard solution built into every car. It looks like the Belkin charges at 10W, while all the others are 7.5W. I'm new to the Magsafe game so I just want to make sure I'm not missing any other options that charge at higher than 7.5W.
Edit: I should add that I'm totally fine with a vent mount, and would actually l prefer it. They work perfectly in my car.

It only charges at 7.5W as well. MagSafe branding is frankly super consumer hostile, and makes it seem like something can do what it can not. The only way to get faster MagSafe charge speeds is to supply your own MagSafe charger with a car mount adapter. Hopefully that will change soon however, as Apple finally started selling the part to manufacturers. Edit: lol was waiting for the downvotes. MagSafe is great folks! But Apple still shouldn’t let companies use the word “MagSafe” at all unless it is fully compatible with spec. You and I might know the difference, but lord knows the average shopper doesn’t. July 23, 2023 - Belkin’s car charger is of the stick-it-in-your-vent type. In a twist of ironic fate I had avoided these, since I wasn’t convinced they would fit in our vents and was even less convinced it would stay put. I was wrong in both cases. The ball-and-socket arrangement that clips the vent attachment to the back of the pad means it can fit both horizontally and vertically.
